abes exoddus loading
 
Any one help i run win XP home tried to load Abes Exoddus nothing happens icon in cd drive is different any one any clues please tried the win 95 bit compatability screen goes blank then back to desktop

Whoa! Slow down! Sorry, it's a little bit hard to understand what you said because there's no punctuation, which makes it look like it's going really fast! :)
Anyway, have you tried it without compatibility mode? I run XP Pro, and it runs fine on normal mode but crashes on compatibility mode. Other than that, I can't think of anything else that would be causing it...

either the games a dud and you should just have a good look at your'e computer to see if it's in mint condition.

It is the compatibility mode. Here is the proper way to get Abe's Exoddus to work on Windows XP, courtesy of Pilot:

I've come up with a fix for getting AO or AE to run in XP. Windows XP has a backward compatibility feature that is not enabled by default. To enable this, right-click on the game icon and select Properties. At the top of the present window, there is a tab labeled "Compatibility." Select Compatibility mode and then select "Windows 95" from the drop-down list. Click okay, and then launch Oddworld!

that doen't always work (not with my version anyway). I had to install a different .exe file.

Yes. I had to download the .exe from Oddipus' site to make my version work, and how happy I was when I did!
