cool cool cool!

Cloverfield 10-26-2001 09:07 AM

We got WindowsXP for one of the work computers here (not mine unfortunately) ... but it wouldn't install.

I wonder if I can convince them to get the Plus pack for Munch!!! :D

Grrr. I went out and bought Windows XP Professional yesterday when it came out. I got it home and installed it, but freaked out when I couldn't find the Munch visualization! I then found out that it came only with Microsoft Plus, so I ran back and bought that. Lo and Behold Munch was right on the back of the box! After getting that home, it says I can't run it because I need 16mb of video RAM, whereas I only have 8mb. Now I had to run out again and buy a new video card. Problem Solved. It ain't easy being a hardcore fan!

Xavier 10-26-2001 05:05 PM

how much do you spend for this???

Lampion 10-27-2001 02:08 AM

A few hundred bucks, I guess...

Pilot 10-27-2001 02:20 AM

Well, lets see:

Windows XP Professional- $200
Microsoft Plus- $40
Video Card- $100
Latamire Munch dancing to classic Rock and Roll hits- Priceless.

In all, about 340 US dollars.

Wil 10-27-2001 11:34 AM

Gee, that sorta sounds like quite a lot of money. How much is it in real money? Er, I mean pounds sterling?

You really are a big fan. Wow.

It's very expencive, I dunno if I give so much money

To answer your question (hopefully) Max, I went to an online foreign exchange converter and found that 340 US dollars equals 246.20 pounds.

I think that Pilot has way too mush free time. There is a fine line between fandom and obsession. You crossed it a long time ago man. T-chan's page of wonders.

Xavier 10-29-2001 03:45 PM

I think he's crazy about Oddworld

Pilot 10-30-2001 12:06 AM

So I'm a FANatic. I just want to support them as much as I can. Who here doesn't?

Cloverfield 10-30-2001 12:09 AM

I agree with Pilot... there is nothing wrong with supporting Oddworld in different ways... who cares if some people do it more than others. I'm a fantatic too... but you don't see me complaining about someone who just plays the games. I only complain about the people who knock OWI.

I wouldn't mind getting Windows XP myself... but my home PC is giving me headaches, it's not even a consideration yet.

Hiya Pilot!
So what do ya think of Munch groovin?
Don't forget to set the preferences in the Media Player under Plus.
Alf

Pilot 10-30-2001 02:47 AM

Aww geez, I LOVE IT!! Well worth the money I spent I'd say. It's the next best thing to the game itself. I'm excited by the fact that when people purchase new computers with XP and Plus preloaded on them that they're getting a real piece of the action. Oh yeah, you might be interested in the fact that whenever I'm down at Office Depot I set all of the demo computers that have XP on them up with the Munch visualization, turn the volume all the way down and loop the demo song that comes with Media Player. I then leave the store nonchalantly. Heh heh.

Xavier 10-30-2001 04:59 AM

Look cool... I maybe got it when my mother buy a new PC
