The Noc Noc Noctero...
 

Well, it's that time again. The time when my brain farts, which results in the decision to make a trip to the fan corner.

This time, the creatures featured (haha) are my own creations: The Noctero. (Goes into "Glukkon Propaganda Commercial" mode) Yessir, these dark and gloomy creatures make the perfect slave replatcements for those nasty Mudokons and their persitant hero, Abe.

First up is a teaser poster for what I hope to accomplish as Oddworld: Actra's Oddysee. The thing speaks for itself, but here's a little background info on the heroine.
Actra is a loser. She pretty much lets everyone walk all over her, and she hates it. But one day, she sees another Noctero being beaten to the brink of death by a drunken Slig. Something compels her not to just walk on by, but to help the poor kid and , through a suprising turn of events, kill the Slig as well.
This "Turn of events" happens to be an evil spirit that was apparently trapped in a necklace that Actra never took off. The spirit (Her name is just "Alter Actra") wants to take over Actra's body so it can live again, but Actra is too strong and is able to supress the spirit unless she gets very frightened. For instance, she is attacked by a Scrab, and the spirit takes over her body and mind, and brutally kills the Scrab (Decorates a barn with its organs). This slowly wears down on Actra, making her more vulnerable to being taken. We can only hope that she can stop the spirit before it takes her completely.

The second one is called "The Seven-Fingered Angel." It shows Actra in sort of an "Abe's Marching Mudokons" style picture. The other Noctero are Antonias (the guy at the far left),Alcar (The chick with the big rack), and Max (the guy with the pick-axe). ( :D ) I wanted the Noctero to have 7 fingers because their wings didn't seem big enough with just three other wing-fingers.

The third one is Antonias, Actra's boyfriend. The scar across his right wing (our left) is due to him flying into an invisable electric barrier when he tried to escape. He is now locked up in a Solitary Confinement Chamber, where he is visited by Actra every day after "work."

More to come! I'll probably do Alcar, Max, and Xavier (The BAAAAD GUY.) Next.

This is a picture of the character previously known as Alcar. I'm re-naming her to "Lydia," in refrence to the girl in Beetlejuice.
She's Actra's friend, and has been since the tribe working at Rupturefarms was "herded" there.

She can't fly because of her...extra weight, so she and the others are stuck in Rupturefarms while Actra is on her adventure.

Pay no attention to the fact that the picture says "Alacar." It's "Lydia," not "Alcar" or "Alacar."

Giant moth-bat-people hybrids...weird.

Moths are something I hadn't thought of with the Noctero, but lookinh at the second picture, I can see why you would think that. The wings on Actra do look awfully mothlike.

I like. Especially Antonias, the detail and shading is superb. Post more soon. :)

I see you have developed more characters from the speices I saw you doing a while ago. You have inproved your art since the first time I saw your art.

Those characters are cool, you seem you have more of a darker theme than before. Fabulous work and pictures! I would like to see some more.:fuzsmile:

Dayum, this is disturbed. Disturbed is coo-el! Nice going! You are quite the artist. Antonias looks da coolest. I like the fact you have a heroine instead of a hero.

1. A female lead character
2. Darker, more disturbing plots
3. Boobies, for good measure. :D

Definatley a more disturbed plot. Like how AO felt. But even more bisturbed :p Anways, keep up the good work. Hope you've got a story, and if so, it will be posted some time in the future... :D

• 20 sharp, curved teeth in back. No molars (Completely carnivorous)

Yay! Update! The bearing teeth picture is like- wow. I love your art! Your previous cover art was more cover-y. This is good though. Iss all good!

Yep, I'm already doing the test for the first comic (just small, sketched out pictures that I'll redraw on larger paper.

Good luck with that... And most of all, keep up the good artwork! Cant wait for a story teaser... :p
