Fake Internet Details
 

Do you give out fake internet details, as the title suggests? For certain things, (ie when I was on neopets and you sign up with things to get neopoints) I give out fake details purely because I dont want to recieve junk mail letters as well as junk mail emails. Post your fake details, or sum them up...

I haven't done that with anything like that, but I did one thing when I got Download Accelerator Plus. It wanted me to put in my email address, so I just put I_am@a_House.com, for the same reason, I don't want (more) junk (e)mail! :)

I don't really sign up for many things that what addresses, but when the new GameFAQs account asked me to do one I said I live somewhere on 'FakeAddress Street'.

I do that all the sodding time...

I shoulda done that while updating my account.

Only problem is that most site make you give a real address so that you can get a confirmation email. So I have a second email address that I use just for that situation and every day I go in and clear out the spam.

For those comformation emails, I just use other accounts. Or if I don't care, I just put iamafishiamafishiamafish@youareafish.fish.net .

Yeah, I do that for sites like that, but with DAP it was halfway during the installation when it asks things like your name, company, and email address. Since it wasn't actually used for anything (important), I just put the afore mentioned email address.

I think the question should be who HASN'T done that at one time or another.
