Abe's Exoddus Bad Ending
Ok, I've played Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus and got all the different endings, but whenever I do Abe's Exoddus' super bad ending (killing heaps of muds), it says it's made me bulletproof but there seems to be no difference!
Abe just keeps getting shot by sligs easily, no matter what. Is it supposed to be some sort of joke or is it just something that's gone wrong with my computer? Or, have I completely misunderstood it? |
Strange, it worked with me. I can't remember the Invincible cheat, someone else probably does.
|
Just one thing... I'm running the PC version of AE, so I don't think there is an invincible cheat. I don't know why it's not working, though, because all the other endings have worked (including the AO super bad ending, infinite grenades:))

AO and AE SUPER bad Ending?
Am I missing something? |
Ok, I take it you haven't heard of how there are 4 different endings for the Oddworld games so far? There's the good and bad normal ones (rescue enough mudokons or not rescue enough), then there's two others which I call the super good and super bad endings(rescue EVERY mudokon or kill very many mudokons). They have the same movie at the end, it just has a bonus afterwards. Abe's Oddysee had infinite grenades for super bad and it lets you look at the movies for a super good ending. Abe's Exoddus had some extra concept art and stuff as a super good ending and for a super bad ending it's supposed to make Abe bulletproof, but I can't get it to work. So, anyone got any suggestions?

Gretin, as far as I can tell, you're only invincible that one time it takes you back to play after you get the bad ending. If you start again, or go back the the main menu, the cheat deactivates. Also, I haven't been able to find a working Invncibility cheat for either game on PC.
As for the "extra stuff", it's mainly on the PS version. I think you do get some extra art, but you don't get the Guardian Angel... thing on PC. |
The Invincibility cheat is in the PC version and it's working until you return to windows.
|
Well, I haven't been able to get it to work at all! When I finished the boiler room, I went straight into playing Feeco Depot as soon as it had the message saying that it had made me bulletproof.
And, yes, you do get extra art on the PC version, you just don't get the Guardian Angel FMV for Abe's Oddysee. |
In AE there is a barred up room call Vykers Lab is that part of the new game! i have not played anything else except AO and AE because the new ones arent for PS and i dont have an XBOX
Do you think they will bring out another game for PS |
Don't worry. It never worked for me, either. I also ran it on PC.
No big thing. Just a little gimmicky cheat. |
I never even knew there was a super bad ending.
|
I have the savegames of the super-bad-ass-evil-bastard on my website.
Maybe if you use that one it will work. (click my signature, go to downloads and choose the right download) |

Just go and get a X-Box if you ever want to play more Oddworld games, as they don't seem to be ever be back on the PS2, Stranger was going to be but technical stuff prevented it from being ported, maybe for the PS3, but that's going to be in a few years, can you(mellymel) wait that long to play them?? Is there a Super Bad ending for MO and Stranger?? |
Yes and no, there is a super bad ending for MO, but I'm still trieing to be SW,
|
Funny... I always thought it was a joke:
"You killed nearly all the Modokons, nice job! Go kill yourself now, you 'bulletproof' asshole!" |
:
and it seems ya just have a software prob... maybe the disc itself has a scratch or something. |
Or the actual console.
|
I couldn't find an invinciblility cheat but I found this. Hold Shift and press the following cursor keys at the indicated screen to use your desired cheat.
Level skip, use when at Main menu: Down Right Left Right Left Right Left Up. Next path, use any time in Game play: Left Right Up Down Left Right Next FMV sequence, use when at Main menu: Up Left Right Left Right Left Right Down |
I know those three cheats, and I've got it on PC, so the console isn't to blame ;). The most likely reason suggested here is the CD, as I've tried it on about three different computers with the same result.
|
yeah, there are 11 mudokons that you MUST save in Abe's Exoddus. the other 289 are fair game.
if you can kill all of them, that's how you get it. i've got the codes for PS, but not PC, sorry. =\ |
