What happened to the Blobs?

Remember when we first saw the footage of Stranger in the X-Factor? Remember those blob creatures doing those strange ritual dances? Well have they been taken out of the game? I haven't heard or seen new footage of that species since 2003's OW Christmas card.

All I've seen was an evelution of the Grubs. But what about those Karati Blobs? Could they be natural enamys to the native Grubs? Perhaps another native species of the Mongo Valley? And what is the real name of those Blobs?

I don't think we know the real name. We've just called them Scuba Toads. I assume that they are native because they're pictured with war paint and native-looking weapons.

The general assumption is that they're not in SW. They haven't been mentioned by any reviewer and have not appeared in any screenshot or promotional image for quite some time.

They might be early renderings of the grubs.

paramiteabe 01-17-2005 02:31 PM

Ya know I was actually thinking about that. They do look like smashed Grubs.

I mean if you take a grub stuff it up with food and smash it you got yourself a scuba toad. Hehe thats funny smashed grubs are scuba toads hehehehe! But then again they were pictured with grubs on the 2003 Christmas card.

And on the X-Factor special.

I think they did drop the Scuba Toads. I can't remember where I read it though...

Scuba Toads/Blobs are not in OWS...
perhaps we will see them later

Does anyone have an old image of a blob that I can see. Just curious

Well, that kills my theory.
