I got the new dutch magazine Gamepro today, and in there is one page about stranger, and one page with an interview with Lorne.

(SORRY, I don't have a scanner :p)

But one of the last questions was:

Q: Do you have the ambition to make one day an oddworld animation movie??
A: Yeah, I do. It is our goal as a gamecompany to expand at some time to a studio with our own games and movie department. At the moment there is a filmscript at our "agent" at Hollywood. So who knows.

(This is my translation from dutch, so there can be some misspellings etc)

Someone is selling the short film they made for AE on ebay. Starting price is about 15 dollars and noone has bid on it yet. It's vhs.

He said in an interview a few months back that they were in discussion for funding so I guess he's really serious about doing this soon.

That's a good question. There would be no reason to bid on that vhs if it is.

Is the "They" OWI? Or is it a fan thing? I've never heard of a short film OWI actually made outside of the ones in the games. If OWI did do this short film 15 is pretty good.

That's a good question. There would be no reason to bid on that vhs if it is.
There is actually, because I can't preorder Stranger and get the DVD if I'm not in the US, cos the game won't work on my Xbox.

i have bid on the VHS i dont tell my auto bid so if you want see for yourself (its crazy:p)
even if i cant play it it would be cool to have it hope none of you guys overbids me:p

EDIT : My friend says the bid isnt there but on my comp it is showing the bid?!?!
i emailed the seller but havnt got an reply yet

The movie was a collection of the FMVs from AE linked together with a little new footage that was exhibited only once, in order to be qualified to enter in the Academy Awards Best Animated Short category.
