They're great! Well done Xavier; finally some videos that I can actually see. The combat looks pretty frantic, maybe that will interest some people (I know you've all seen the combat, but the videos were all jerky on my computer)...and don't you meen that credit goes to oddblog, not oddlbog? :p

right, corrected that... thanx for the head up ;)

Good find Xavier!
Is the music from oddworld or IGN? Anyway they are pritty good, those dead Grubbs look good too. The Last video was the best, it had that Air ship that we saw in the book, and was shooting at stranger. But also it had what looked like a gaint air ship in the background, that's looked huge. Kinda like Halo's |
There's dead grubbs! :fuzsad: I did feel kind of sad when I saw them (and shocked that they showed them).
The airship does look fabulous, but I'm worried that people might perceive this game as a Halo ripoff. We know it's not because- well we just do. But someone who just watches those videos(without reading any of the many reviews there are out there) might get turned off from buying SW (or finding out more about it) thinking it's a just a copy of Halo. Then again on the other hand, you can clearly see in many Stranger videos that there is that third person view aswell, it's even in that last video. And alot of the videos explore the other themes of SW, (Grubbs genocide etc.) so maybe I'm just blowing alot of hot air, (or trying to get RSI :p ) |
I'm not such a fan of these videos. They cut faster than a Charlie's Angels movie so you can't get a good look at anything.
BTW what do you think is firing hot balls of flaming crud at the wolvarks in the end of the third one? |
Awesome videos!
The music was great. And that flying ship looked really cool. There seemed to be a lot of activity going on in those battle...very frantic. I can't wait to play this game! -oddguy |
ARG! in the second video, it shows a blue hallway... I think we've seen it before!
Anybody remember, before Munch even came out, there was a screenshot of a slig being zapped by some sort of blue energy? There wern't any visible characters besides the slig, so it may have been in first person mode. Many thought that this was some sort of Shrykull power intended for MO. But obviously, there was no Shrykull in MO. I don't have the pic, but mabe someone knows what I'm talking about, they can post it. Last I saw it, it looks alot like that blue hallway from the 2nd video.... but of course, I could be wrong, and my memories playin tricks on me... |
All of these videos are great!

Those ships must have to do with something with the Glocktigi in the game.
Eather that or the Vykkers perhaps Khanzumers. I don't know if this is true but it is a gut feeling. So I figure what we are seeing is shots from later on in the game where things start to get intresting. Paramiteabe... :fuzblink: |
A nice little montage (the three videos are obviously meant to be pasted together). The music is great, and the action looks intense, especially in that third section. Did anyone else spot the APC-type vehicle? The blimps may indeed be relating to the Oktigi. Remember the blimp concept art shown in Polygon's “Brave New Oddworld” feature? Readers of The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants will know more details.
