Who Thinks they will Enjoy OSW?
 

I know, there's probably about 100 of these threads floating around, infact, I even think I started one of these when I first Joined, but back with the title.

Who thinks they will Enjoy Stranger's Wrath?
I don't think I will enjoy it, It's got no Abe :( :crying:

I will definately enjoy it. Probably more on my second go through it when I'm not desperate to get to the next point in the story or see the end movie...

I'll definitely enjoy it. I think the anticipation of the "plot twist" will get to me though. I may just resort to killing a few outlaws to get there faster! ;) I really hope this plot twist is unique, and very, very disturbed. That way it'll be so devasting I can't possibly be disappointed.

Though I'm going to have to wait to play it. March is about the same time I have my half-year exams for 2005 (Half-year? In March? Yes, it is complicated to understand), and being my final year of School, they are, you know, sort of important.

Doesn't Australia start the school year in January? Because in britain, (and possibly the whole Northern hemisphere, I dunno) start the year in the September, so a March half year exam wouldn't be too out of the ordinary :p

Exactly. However, with Year 12, the final year of School, we begin a term early. So I actually began my Year 12 in 2004. And my second term will begin 2005. So March is basically Half-Year, in terms of Year 12. All other years begin in the new year as normal.

So I might not get to play it for a while.

this game will surly have a great replay value since you can play it with lots of differents approaches :D

Like others I shall not enjoy it as I lack the egg box.

My god, I can't wait for this game to come out. I'm gonna make sure I have a few days off from work when it comes out so I can play it non stop.

I hope the plot twist is not just story based, but radically changes the gameplay. Lorne keeps saying you think stranger is one thing, but he turns out to be something completely different. I hope that also applies to the game itself. We all know he becomes a centaur creature on the brink of death, so that cannot be the twist.

I think I'll enjoy it, I'm thinking I'll enjoy hunting out those little critters for ammo.

I'm not sure, part of what I enjoyed about the first games was that you don't play characters that are particuarly strong or skilled. Still, I trust in Oddworld Inhabitants, and I doubt it'll dissapoint me.

I am sure I shall enjoy it on my big TV and Xbox :) And I hope the story will be full of cliff hangers/twists (gotta love those). And most of all I want at LEAST 18 HR Gameplay or 25 :) How long was Oddworld Munch Oddyese? I just hope the Story will be awesome enuff and the game will be long enuff to enjoy :P

Scrab watcher, If it wasn't for my friend getting a demo, I wouldn't know a damn thing about Oddworld! Abe is my favourite, and anyway, I was pritty disapointed when they said that they where putting a knew character in called Munch, I still don't like him that Much Now!

I don't have an X-box... but who knows... maybe the CXBX can play it.

Abe is the main Character in the Quintology. Munch is just one of the five heroes.

I've often heard that all (five) heroes were supposed to be of equal importance, and that it was only because Abe was humanoid that they chose him first. If we've come to view the quintology as Abe+Friends, then its just as well OI's giving them a break to work on Stranger. Which I'm going to love playing by the way. At least I think I will.

I don't realy think so, I know for a fact that Squeeks will be the leader of the pack.

I think I will enjoy SW, I enjoyed MO and Halo very much. I don't wanna sound a bit too far in the future or ruin Sw, but I think that Stranger II will be better. :p I beleive that SW will is the first to try the enigne, and will very well do a good job of it. But Stranger II would probalty push the Stranger egine more.

Many years ago when Oddworld was lined up for PS2 I read in a PS2 mag an interview with Lorne.

He said that the Quintology was the story of how Abe and the others bring about the Magog Cartels downfall. The bonus games (AE and Stranger so far) show us more of Oddworld without being too much part of the main plot.

The last game of the five part story was supposed to take place in a huge capital city with towering skyscrapers. The rest of the quintology would follow Abe's story introducing new heroes but still with Abe until this point.

Lorne made it clear that Abe was the main character, even if the heroes are equal in power.
