An OWF Thankyou card!
I've been thinking and I've been thinking for a long time but hell OWI is so gracious to us the fans, that they go out of their busy schedual to send each and every one of us Christmas cards every year plus make awesome games for us and try to please us.
Don't you think it would be a proper thing to do if we as the fans return with a thankyou card? Just one card with all of our signatures on it saying how wounderful they are? I could easily design a neat card and then sign it. Then I would mail it out to another OWF member and they would sign it too and they would do the same until everybody signed it where the last person would send the thankyou card to OWI. But the thing of it is we would have to put a mailing list together on here so we can send the card to each other. It was just an idea I had in mind but I dunno what do u guys think? The idea keeps popping up, PA. I forget if nothing ever happens, or low-profile cards are sent. It's a very nice idea, none the less.

Or you could just send your own personal christmas card. I did that last year.
Its not going to be much of a surprise for them if we organise it through the forums. They do keep an eye on us, don't forget. |
And at that, postal service delay would prevent anything this year. To send it around to any reasonable amount of people would require a conception date of late October or early November, assuming the pace was kept up.

Still seems a bit difficult. You are depending on everyone involved being reliable and punctual and I for one am neither.

Didn't we do this last year? And just had some photoshopped picture, and then under it said something like "Merry Christmas from the Oddworld Forums"? It was just emailed I think.
But then I'm not sure if it actually was sent, as I tuned out halfway through the thread. |
PA, it was a fantastic idea, but I think we've left it too late. Not to mention that we've basically alerted OWI to the fact that we're doing it. Sort of ruins the surprise. Perhaps if we do it undercover next year, and way earlier ;)

My October/November guess was going off of US citizens only. I just realized international sending would require some more (but not too hefty) postage, and a conception date of at least August/September for safety.

With all this brilliant new SW art floating around, we could make a pretty darn good scene, if we was to make an Oddworld card for them.

What if, everyone signs a piece of paper, and mails it to PA?
PA you could glue them all to the inside of a card and send it. OR, even quicker; everyone just scan their signatures. |
As pointed out earlier, it's rather late to think about this. How about we send them a card at Easter? It would be Odd and unexpected.

No, I mean photoshopping together our own scene with different art from Stranger, like what took place one year... I think. We wouldn't use the card they sent us :p

Oddworld Inhab is defiently very involved with their fans and very generous. For instance they game me some info for my unoffical Oddworld magizine that made me very happy with a very kind responce. If any of you Inhabs are listening, we all thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts.
