Yep, according to the statistics, this is actually the ten thousandeth thread to be created, with all deleted threads ommitted. Technically, if all threads were to have never been deleted, the 10,000 thread would have passed a while ago, but, because threads do get deleted, this is our semi-technical 10,000 thread!

Woot! Now all we have to do is reach 200,000 posts! :D

Personally I can't beleive that we ever had 140 people online at one time. I mean, there aren't 140 regular contributing members.

Yeah, there's like 20. I don't know how it would have been that either.

The Oddworld Forums as archived by the current database extends back to April 2001. However, the Oddworld Forums began its existance as the Oddworldian Forums on the ezBoard system in March 2000. The ezBoard Oddworld Forums was unfortunately lost forever a while back.

I believe there are more than twenty members who are classed as actively posting. In reality, the most users online is around the mid-50's mark. The reason it is so high, is because of a surge of search engine spiders that indexed the entire forums for a week or so. We could change it back, but 140 sounds so much better ;)

Actually when we had one of first downtimes my PC wouldn't let me view the Forums for about a year. But as you can see, my new PC is letting me do whatever I please.

Heh, April 2001 makes Alf, Abe Babe, Rich the Intern, Lantra and myself the oldest currently-regular members about. That's counting Abe Babe as regular. I know there are some others that pop back, like Dark Hood and Slas'kia. Maybe they hang out in Fan Corner more.

Actually i was there when the 140 users happened i believe. It was a shed load of guests. Probably one bloke with a lot of ram opening the window 138 odd times

No, multiple guests / members can share the same IP. Otherwise Search Spiders wouldn't be able to function, and members (such as those using AOL) wouldn't be able to use the forums.

Not exactly, because you have cookies stored on your computer, vBulletin reads them and it registers that you are one of the same.
