EA Store : Oddworld Stranger's Wrath™

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath™ is in the EAgames store now. It is the American version :( On eagames.co.uk there is a cool stranger boxart that is "lighter" then the boxart on other site... And it also has the free DVD inclusive. eagames.com.au always takes forever to update from what I recall when they distributed FFX-2. :fuzblink: Plus it's probably too early anyways seeing the site only deals in local releases.
I guess only time will tell as to whether us Aussies will get the DVD. Sometimes we miss out on stuff that the US gets, sometimes we get extras. It all depends on the company distributing the game. Abe Babe... |
This probably isn't much help as it's not a definitive answer, but here's what I know.... The dvd will have an English PAL version. Whether or not it will be distributed in AU, I'm not sure yet. We're all crossing our fingers for our Aussie fans, though!

Pre-Order Stranger at Ea Store
Stranger is currently available for pre-order at EA's online store, anyone ordered it yet? Apparently if you order early enough you get a free dvd with all the Oddworld movies.

I'd really like to hold the DVD in my hands, in a beautiful Australian PAL version. But alas, it appears as if Australia is going to be disregarded - even though things such as the Art of Oddworld Book were produced here.

I was just wondering is the DVD going to be region free or only european/american region coding? because I'll get it imported if it's region free but otherwise i can't play it.

As is my understanding, Australia is PAL, so you could import a European PAL copy, if it's possible.

Sounds like a good plan to me. So will somebody be willing to copy it for us Australians? We'd pay you for the shipping / packaging / CD. Just need someone willing.

Lets first find out if EA Oz is gracious enough to give us the DVD also, then make plans if not.

Alcar... copy it? I meant copy as in a DVD, not a burnt disk. It may be a free bonus DVD, but it's still subject to copyright laws.

what do you mean odd guy? I dont understand what you meant by "grab the DVD" but it sounds like you're still tricking OWI with this idea.
I think the better thing to do would be just reserve another copy, and when the 2 come alcar pays you for shipping / packaging / CD, you send it, we dont betray our beloved OWI and everyone's happy. |

My understanding is that oddguy isn't in a PAL region, anyway, although there's nothing actually wrong with doing what you suggest. At least, not that I can see.
