I figured that out... they are the same as the other forum I post on. But what about the others? I'm sure I've seen more than just those around the forums.

Basically you have to learn the codes.
Or when you post use the "Go advanced" button and choose from a variety of smilies.

Oddish 12-12-2004 12:20 PM

Oh yeah, their fuzzles ones.

:fuzzle:

No I mean I have no toolbar. No buttons for bold, italic, underlined, smilies, justification, hyperlink, image link, etc.

Oddish 12-12-2004 01:04 PM

No, not on this forums.

No, not on this forums.
Watch here. View the attachments. Firstly I have a box like in number 1.
By clicking on the "Go Advanced button" I get number 2.

Is this what you mean?

I think I know what your problem is. Go to your user CP and look on the options part and change the text box thing to something more complex.

For a complete list of smilies, mawk, you can visit: http://www.oddworldforums.net/misc.php?do=showsmilies which will detail all smiles, with a description, their code, and a preview. As for your message textbox limitations, I'll provide a more detailed navigation to get there (as it can be confusing when ambiguous).

User CP > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Message Editor Interface

And the information contained is:

:

When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.
Alcar...

Alcar, how dare you insult my brilliant grasp of technical terms. ;)

After all this time, I didn't know this. Thanks Alcar, and Rich the intern
