Types of Live Ammo
 

Hey, I just signed up and thought I'd get to joining the community as soon as I could. First question is, Does anybody know what all the different types of live ammo are? I know there are Chippunks, Fuzzles, and the spider things, I forget what they're called. Does anyone know the six types and what they do?

Yeah, there are Chippunkz, Stunkz, Fuzzles, Bolamites, Stingbees, Boombats, Thud Slugs and Zappflies. Check out GameSpot's Live Ammo profile:

For a brief Halo comparison, Stingbees are machine gun ammo which chase enemies like the needles from a needler.
Boombats stick to enemies like plasma grenades. Zappflies are somewhat like the plasma pistol.

Stingbee's also have a sniper mode I believe. Whether you have to use two different breeds of stingbee, or an upgrade, I don't know. EA and OW did say 9 ammo types though.

There's a sniper attachment that you can purchase to upgrade your gun. I assume you can use it with any ammo type.

True. Yet we don't know what it is, and Oddworld have confirmed that Darts are no longer able to be shot by Stranger. I saw someone mention something about an ammo type being a secret in the game, but it was merely a suggestion by a member.
