Living in Torment
This was a little ballad that I wrote for English class at my school. It is very sad (so don't cry! lol)
She sits on her bed silently His picture she now holds; She sobs quietly, to herself; She begins to feel cold. The chill runs through her to the bone, And she shivers slightly. She thinks about the day he left Sadly and quietly He didn't leave her like most do And walk out through the door, For he left in that cursed car That dark and gloomy morn. He drove down long Willowtree Road But never did return, For his car was struck by someone Then flipped over and burned. Now as she holds the picture close And thinks of hurt and pain, She dreams of Heaven, angels and The day they'll meet again. Let me know if you like it or not. I did the best that I could to get a dark mood out of this poem. |

Thank you all so much for the comments. I wrote this poem so long ago I actually didn't expect any comments for it! You can post your poems/short stories on here too, if you like. :)
