Red Day

What in the name of giant furballs and flying cows is Red Day?
Well, the simple answer to that would be: a comic series.
Here's the more... erm... okay, here's another way to answer that question.

Red Day is a comic series that I've created. Currently, it has 3 series. Currently, it isn't do very well. And currently, I'm fighting an evil goat.

So anyway, this is sort of an advertisement or something. I put it in this section because I guess you could class it as 'art'.

So you're saying "Okay, Martian, how do we view Red Day you little tw*t?" Well, no need for the swearing, comrades, just visit my homepage.

OR, if you can't be bothered to click my name with your pointy thingy, here's the URL:

Rightio. Comments please. Or at least some pie.

I like Ben:p

Martian 11-30-2004 12:26 PM

Yes, he is an interesting character.

My favourite character would probably have to be Josh.

TheRaisin 11-30-2004 10:34 PM

Uh hm. Different, I think, is the word for it. Heh, there were a couple of quite funny moments.

Six more posts and I get a coupon good for a free chocolate chip cookie-loaf at Grizzlebee's! "Grizzlebee's-- You'll wish you'd had less fun!"

Tw*t is a bad word? Really? It's hard to keep up with the UK lingo sometimes. Imagine my embarassment when I found out what f*nny means in a chat room with several English people. All this time I just thought it was a childish way of saying "butt", or sometimes a woman's name.

Cool, very original. You ought to publish them!

Martian 12-01-2004 11:45 PM

I might publish them... if the evil warlords at the newspaper companies let me.

Or I might put them in a book and publish it... once again, if the evil warlords at the book publishing companies let me.

Well it's a good idea.

Rich 12-02-2004 09:36 AM

Are 14 year old's allowed to get stuff published?

Fez 12-02-2004 12:12 PM

Yup. My late mother got lots of her stories publish at 14-15 apparently.......

Rich 12-02-2004 02:24 PM

I've read all of them now. It's strange, I like them in a guilty immature sort of way. A good moment is when Josh is killed off in a completely random way. You need to do series 4!

Martian 12-02-2004 11:33 PM

Series 4

Yes, I am going to do a Series 4. Read the recent news on the home page of the site and it says it :P

But for anyone who can't be bothered to look, it's going to be a prequel to the first three series.

I don't think the newspaper companies would, due to the explicit content. However a book company wouldn't mind (you'd need a lot more of the comics though).

If things like Mahoromatic and .hack can get published, anything can. I swear, dude.

I think you'd have a pretty good shot. Then again, I don't know how things are in the UK with books. Except for Harry Potter. Which is awesome. Unfortunately, by the time J.K.'s last book comes out, her former market base will be popping pimples and working at McDonald's and trying to find mustaches to shave (except the Latino ones, they'll be shaving already) and you can bet they won't be reading Harry Potter anymore. Oop, sorry, got a little thought-jacked there.

Um yeah, cool stuff. Definitely a market for it in the US if not the UK.

BTW, Mahoromatic is a completely sick and perverted manga that should really be considered hentai, and .hack is like young teen pornography in places. There should be some restraints on what sorts of anime and manga they can have in the U.S.

Rich 12-08-2004 08:20 AM

I think that the mild racism, attacks on Michael Jackson and lots of swearing would prevent the UK newspapers from publishing it.

I doubt it, adults , students, elderly people... Everyone over here loves Potter...

Martian 12-09-2004 08:22 AM

Thanks for all the comments and ideas guys.

I might consider the book idea, but not too sure. I'll just see what happens.

Abeguy 12-12-2004 08:54 PM

BLAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

*ehem*

I'd have a better time trying to publish space filler

I could make you a movie
