Skydiving

Alcar's parents have agreed to fund the money needed to go skydiving, and which could potentially turn out to be the money that my death is paid with. I'm really excited, as I've been waiting for years to go skydiving (got the absailing, rockclimbing, mediocre things like that down), but now is the time to completely petrify myself!

While excited, I'm also wary that many things could do wrong. Though the chances are slim. Has anyone been skydiving before? Do tell!

I'd love to go skydiving, but with my luck, the slim chance of death would outweigh the chance of my survival.

Have a great time! :)

I've been on a small skydiving training thing (on holiday) . But sure as hell not from 2000 ft in the air . Hope you're suit is ripped err... nice and stitched and sewn up safely

Have a great time faliing down to earth. Must be a great exeprience for you Alcar. It would be great if you take picture while your falling.

Alcar 11-17-2004 10:28 PM

Actually, I'm rather disapointed about the distance I'll be falling. It's only 3,000 feet, which as I was told by someone, is around about a kilometre. Which isn't that far at all. I was hoping for three kilometres at least.

Still, it will be quite an experience :)

Remember to say hi to Josh on the video, i'll remind tim to remind you hehehe

I did a jump with 50 seconds free-fall (with an instructor left and right), opening my own parachute and comming down alone. I have it on video (not digital). I can recommend it to everyone. Be fearless. Enjoy! Look around, since it's a senational view. Close your mouth (beware the bugs). Blow your nose before the jump, or else buggers (spelling?) might fly in your own face (know all about it). Enough?

Have fun Alcar!! Knowing my luck, I would end up dying if I went skydiving!!

AquaticAmbi 11-18-2004 02:51 PM

Just scuba diving for me... But have a great time, Alcar! Do take some pictures or something if you can.

Im sure that once you actually jump out of the plane that Kilometre will seem alot higher than you though.
Anyways, good luck buddy and don't die...*cough*

good luck man.

I had a friend who went sky-diving and threw up the whole way. Unfortunately he was doing it tandem so it splatted right into the face of the guy behind him.
