angry slig 02-14-2002 07:19 PM

Aslik, phleg, and drippek are gone for good but like hundreds have said mullock is not dead. But know if AE takes place after AO why would aslik, phleg, and dripek be worried about mullock, they either thought he was dead or missing, at that point he had no power and couldnt find out about soulstorm blowin up, but mullock did own that soulstorm brewery.

Molluck

If Molluck really owned the brewrey, Why didn't he appear then? I mean Instead of BrewMaster, who is the owner?

Mudokon101...

MunchOnThis 02-14-2002 07:51 PM

Dripik mentioned Mollock would be pissed in AE didn't he?

Al the Vykker 02-15-2002 03:09 PM

Molluck was in charge of both Rupture Farms and Soul storm brewery. When he "dissapeared" in the will the brewmaster would take control of the brewery. ALso see Molluck dead or Alive? Spoiler Forum. Started by me.

BrewMaster

Molluck wrote a will? Cuz brewmaster seemed to take well control then.......

Mudokon101...

Jacob 02-15-2002 05:40 PM

No

Molluck may be alive...which he probably is and he will probably turn up during the end of the Quint but Aslik, Phleg and Drippik didn't know Molluck was dead thats why they were so worried as Exoddus did happen straight after Oddysee so they did not know that Molluck was in the building of Rupture farms as it went down. Hence their fear...

*mollock wrote a will?!*

Here's some info I found on oddworld.com about the brewmaster/mollock connection:

quote:

Half the heart but twice the flavor! After the fall of the RuptureFarms meatpacking plant, Molluck, the CEO of RuptureFarms, entrusted the company’s SoulStorm™ Brewery to this less than competent Glukkon.

So yeah Mudokon 101,maybe Mollock did write a will......

Who's Will? Have I met him?

It's not a will, it's a company contract. And it's not actually likely that Molluck himself made the agreement. Molluck, being the sensible gentleman and good businessman he is, would have entrusted his own venture to someone with a lot more brains than the feeble-minded quality-obssessed Brewmaster.

Is Molluck the president in the same chain that Aslik is Vice president? I used to think of Molluck as just a minor character in the long run, the head of rupture farms and nothing more, but if he's the president of the magog cartel... wait a minute, if he's the prez of the whole thing, why would he be explaining himself to that coucil of Gluks at the beginning of AO? Hee hee, I just defeated my own argument...

One, Two, Middlesboogie 02-22-2002 08:22 AM

This isn't official info; this is just what I think (that's one reason why I like Oddworld; there are so many different ways of looking at things):
There is more than one RuptureFarms factory, and Molluck is the head of the biggest one, just as Dripik is in charge of the largest Slig Barracks and Phleg is the head of the largest Bonewerkz.
The 'Gluk Council' at the beginning of AO is actually the CEOs of the other RuptureFarmses (or whatever the hell the plural of RuptureFarms is); and they are holding a meeting to try to find a way to save their failing business.
Molluck is important, but in no way the head of the Cartel. Maggie is the ruler of the Cartel, and below her are Glock Stars. Each one is in charge of chains of factories as a whole (only one Glock Star is in charge of RuptureFarms as a company, but each RuptureFarms factory is run by a Big Cheese (of which Molluck is one). Same for B'werkz and Barracks, etc).
Aslik is the head of Feeco Depot, but the VP of Molluck's RuptureFarms.

I've no idea why Molluck left the Brewery to someone as incompetent as the Brewmaster (I've asked Alf about it, but he has yet to reply). Maybe the incompetence is a front, or maybe the Brewmaster knows something about Molluck that Molluck doesn't want anyone else to know, and thus the Brewmaster exerts some kind of hold on Molluck.
Or maybe Molluck was drunk when he signed the contract. :D On Earth, that would make it invalid, but this is Oddworld.
Maybe they're long-time friends, or the Brewmaster did Molluck a huge favour and the Brewery is his reward.

Or, most wonderful of all, maybe we'll find out in a future game.

Think simplier One, Two, Middlesboogie
Molluck was a little disapointed by the shok and have big moolah problems, he probably said to the BrewMaster to keep running the brewery because molluck himself cant...
With the moolah of the brewery and the Brewmasters help he can pay maggie to be pardoned

no it can't...

Probably Molluck entrusted the brewery so that the brewmaster would take the fall for everthing. Molluck was a back stabber, anyway. So he screwed over the brewmaster in the long wrong for the failure of Rupture farms, and the brewery.
