i made a great discovery!!
I dont know whats it caled in england but if you let "re buid???" youre xbox and ask for the ps1 mod you can play Ps1 games on xbox!!
when i heard that i just let "re builded???" my xbox and rushed to the shop and they had AO & AE!!!! that was luck!! so i bought them and now i am enjoying them on my Xbox!!

I didn't know this, how came we ever heard of this? .

The word "re buid???" must mean chip, or re buld. Hmmm... hmmm... hm..

Then i throw my PSone away.

doesn't sound so legal to me...
and can you still go on xbox live? (modded xboxes can't)

My friend has a modded one.I believe he can play on X-Box Live with a router.He has some.They are called ''emulators'' . HIGHLY illegal . He has a SNES one and something else . They include every single game available for that . I don't find it very fun . But I would'nt see it illegal if they never produced the games anymore . PS1 games are no-go now . So it should be legal....

Prehaps you should ask someone on the forums whos knows how to translate it. I think Havoc might know...

well anyway just go to the local "modified store" and get that mod...

When I saw the title of this thread, two things went through my mind: Oddworld Inhabitants have decided to release a collectors pack, like they had in mind a lot earlier. Or, this was just another rumour. Both were wrong :p

It sounds illegal, but if you've payed for the Oddworld games on the PlayStation system, then I don't see why it should be illegal. However, please, Tim H. C., do not shock me with thread titles such as this ever again ;)

Alcar seems to have missed that discussing illegal methods of playing the Oddworld games is against the Forums policy (he stopped me talking about GBA emulators, so I'm getting revenge :p), so I'll have to ask that it's stopped.

well if ya do this ps1 thing, sony can sew ya n so can microsoft (two big companys you dont wanna be sewed by)

Modding your Xbox will still invalidate the warranty - which means if something goes wrong, Microsoft won't come and pick it up for repair. *big waving finger* As part of the Oddworld Forums staff, I cannot condone such an act.

The guy who chipped the X-Box has to understand its systems . He can fix it very cheap . My PS1 was chipped . Hardly illegal though . Here in Scotland there is a place called ''The Barras'' which sells lots of fake stuff . It's famous and the police leave it how it is . As long as you actually payy for a game it's not illegal . The guy who sells the games is illegal so you are fine . But I saw my PS1 being opened up . He had to do allot of melting etc to it . The PS 1 got back to me in one piece . But I don't have it anymore because I got a bit angry and it ''fell'' out the window....

Yes it's very illegal. Here in Ottawa a guy got butsted BIG time for modding PS2s. Just google it and you'll see articles on it.

Modded Xbox's can't go Live (although there are many different mods and ways around it).

PSOne isn't out the door, they still sell games and such.

Doing anything to a console that gets you free anything is ILLEGAL. End of story.

I just play AO and AE on my PS2. PS2 is backward compatible with PS1 games.

jup ps2 is good for ps1 games but not for MO.

It is illegal, as it allows you to play copies, and copies are illegal if you do not own the original. Also, your better off buying a playstation for the price of getting it modded, I know that is way too much in the Isle of Mann (But most things are more expensive over here)
