The Afterline

Prologue

Ah, the afterline. The breaking point of insanity and the true bounderies of the mind. Each new mind is given it's own utopia and it's own hell, those who missuse their mind will be thrust into a twirling fiesta of hallucinations and disrupt thoughts that damage your mind for the rest of eternity. Those who stretch their mind and focus on all that it positive and well will create their own utopia as the mind's haven is but a test. A teasing goal to lure more minds to the side of light rather than the side of shadow. Certain people manage to break free of the chains of insanity, but the few are hunted down by their own corrupt characters that their mind had spawned. The creatures of their mind are often an exaggerated projection of people they already know in physical life. The mind is a complicated labyrinth of emotions and feelings, each one is a door open to the denizens that are released on sick minds. The mind is the keyword.

James Kusich
(chapter 1)

James Kusich was 13 years old. He had always had a gluttony for darkness and an overactive imagination. He lived with his mother, his divorced father lived about 15 miles east and was visited on weekends. His father's house holds a dark secret and James can feel the dark force luming over him at night, each chance he receives he spends the night at his neighbor's house. Friends of his. David and Timothy Muelbaugher were both very gun-happy for children of their age, scuttling about their yard with their assortment of airsofts and pellet guns looking for birds and other frail targets to shoot at. They would often throw their tiny carcuses in the woods or James's dad's fire pit. They worried about their celebrated hunts, worrying that raccoons or "coons" as they called them would eat their prized game. James always found happiness and a sense of security while at the Muelbaugher's house, but his obsession with the dark arts lead him closer and closer to the doorway of passion. The doorway of desire. He wanted to find that dark force, he wanted it out. James always believed death was the fourth dimension, though the least mundane of theories it was the most ignored which is what lead James closer and closer to the desire to unlock it's mysteries.
