How big is Oddworld? I am amazed
I am amazed at how big Oddworld is.. its a non-stop land full of Odd and new Cool things. By playing old Oddworld games and New I was surprised how big the world is. Not many games have a gigantic world like Oddworld does. With Stranger I cant imagine how big and adventorus it will be to explore the new part of Oddworld I cant wait to play Stranger and discover new lands :) Hope it will be full of easter eggs and secretcs too :)

Oddworld is ten times the size of Earth.
|
|
Holy Crap! :D Where did you get this map Oddguy?
|
It's very well known to us forumers. :p
|
Ask MAX!!
|
That map is outdated and most likely inaccurate - as Alf rightly pointed out in one of the recent Ask Alf's.
|
it's a map made by Muds for us
so it may have some inacurenties like the first maps the humans made of their world. That's how I see things. |
Hi guys,
I had nothing to do so i just removed the arrow and stuf to look how the Oddworld world realy looks like. ENJOY!! |
lol, it looks like you had nothing to do :P
looks good btw. |
wow this looooooks very nice!
amazing work Tim! |
HOLY CRAP!
Holy crap guys Look at it 3 games on only 1 Island oh my god there is much more to discover !!!! I cant wait :D

Like Shell Man said, Oddworld is ten times the size of Earth in terms of diameter, giving it a total surface area of the same proportion. This clearly gives OWI a massive space to work with! In comparisson, all of Oddworld we've seen so far is in Mudos, a country the size of Nicaragua.
The Map was made by Alf's pal Buddy, who consulted a Slig while creating it, and was so distraught by our unhappiness with it that he went on an eating binge, but fortunately has recovered with thanks to an intervention from Abe and the South Meech Diet. :D |
:
it's far better then nothing :D |
Yeah, it's a gorgeous creation. :D From the galaxy to the compass points, and all the squiggles in between. :p Buddy's certainly a good artist, and a noble cartographer if not an 100% accurate one.
My favourite part is where the third, and as yet most recent map hangs on a wall at Oddworld Studios. Yup, I definitely love that bit. ;) |
But in MO why you can "fall" of the world??
are they canyons or something??? |
Erm, I think that's where OWI didn't have time to restructure their level designs, and so were unable to realisticly confine the gameplay to a set area. I don't think anyone likes the "fog." But then kudos to OWI for adding distant hills and such.
|
that map is brillant i never knew abe was going all in one direction
|
Its perfectly logical to fall off a cliff. We are probably meant to believe that underneath all that cloud is the ocean.
|
But the game doesn't take place near the ocean.
|
i think OWI dont wanted to make the games to complex so they maked cliffs to fall of.
The same as in halo you can fal also from a cliff... |
Pretty.Notice that the contenets on the left, look like North & South america.
A very Strange thing happend. On MO, on dead river. I went torawrds the camera view and fell (both) Now we cam back alive, but instead of teleported, Munch & Abe fell from the sky. |
i would't say it looks like north & south america but jup i can see what you meen.
in MO on dead river?? i was there when i fell just throw the ground, it was at the point where you land when you jump in the 1st well |
Yeah, i fell in the cliffs (were you are not supose to go) too.
I like the colours they used to colour the map. And the star, that shows death, time, life. |
