*sighs* OKAAY. I usually don't like insulting Black people. And I usually don't.

But Dave Chapelle is a fucking hypocrit. He says some of the worst things about white people, while in his skits, the black people act no better than how he sees us.

You know, I understand hating what happened to them in the 1800's. I do too, I aphore slavery.
But modern white people had nothing to do with it. So leave us the fuck alone.

And also, Dave Chapelle is so god damn annoying!

Oh, and I have absolutely no idea who Rick James was. But I hate Chapelle.

Don't you see, Dipstikk? He puts stereotypical black people in his skits to offset the whole "making fun of white people" thing. It's one of the only shows on television that insults BOTH races equally.

Take the infamous "Mad Real World" skit, which I found infuriating the first time I watched it, but later realized it was quite funny. The skit had the sappiest white guy ever. However, then Chapelle adds Tron, the epitome of the "lazy black man," and Tyrone, the bad black "prison rape" stereotype. It's just as insulting to the black race, if not more, than the white race. Therefore, everyone can laugh.

And with the whole "slave" thing, I'm assuming you're talking about the "Player Haters go back in time," which was pulled off the air and later viewed in Chapelle's "worst of" episode. Yeah, it had a black guy shooting a white guy. Yeah, it criticized the whole slavery thing. But it was funny. He fucking killed a slave holder. That's gold.

And just so you know, Dave's co-writer (or something), Neil, is white. He helped Dave come up with several sketches, probably including many you found offensive, racist, or hypocritical.

Chapelle's a borderline racist, but he's an over-the-hill dipshit.

Man white people are lame! Chappelle's show is one of the funniest shows on television. His show makes fun of everybody and it is hilarious. Some folks are so uptight, they get defensive over jokes they obviously don't understand. Racism towards black people is not something that only happened in the 1800's, obviously it still exists all over the place. All Dave Chappelle is doing is displaying that all people can be racist and it can also be funny as hell.

We aren't uptight, some of us just don't like racist and humour. The show itself promotes racism and very mindless themes, and I personally can't stand that kind of comedy. But then again, I can't really speak up because I've only seen a few episodes, but the few I saw ran along the same lines of stupidity.

The worst of sketch was so misnamed. Shit, I love it when the slaveholder gets ganked. "When's we gonna be free?"
Rick James died of natural causes. Bullshit. He died from complications following a 400K a year drug habit.

It doesn't promote racism, It shows how stupid racism is. Take the sketch with Clayton Bigsby, the whole sketch displays the whole stupidity of the subject. Many stand-up comics use jokes related to race, just because they tell a few jokes, it doesn't mean they are racist. Lighten up! I'm getting sick of people with these kind of values who get offended by simple jokes, judging the humor as pure racism.

I'm not offended by it. I just think it's fucking stupid. I didn't say it was racist, I said it promotes racism making it look like a funny matter when in reality it's very serious. But I don't care either way, I'm not racist and I don't watch the show.

Chappelle rocks. And not all of the show promotes racism. I've seen a skit that was about a woman's bigass hooters, not about racism. Comedy falls into many dramatic categories and racism is one of them. People can't sue stand-up, and if you make fun of your own race, then it's ok that you make fun of another. Spare the comedians that. It's called meterial. they need meterial and racism is funny as hell. So that's just about it. There's nothing we can do about it. It's all up to the stand-ups. Boy, if I was a moderater I'd close this tpic right now.

The show did not suck and Dave Chapelle is just trying to make people laugh, nothing wrong with that. Some times he pushes boundries yes, but thats how we progress. If you actually watch the show then you'd see that Dave makes fun of everyone; Whites, blacks, asains, latios, everyone. He's an equal opportunity racist.

The people that don't have a problem with Chapelle seem to defend him with a geek-like ferver. We use a bunch of superfulous specifics and examples that I'm sure no one really cares about (myself being the worst example, of course).

On the other hand, the arguments of the people who DON'T like him seem to boil down to "I hate him for no apparent reason other than he said something about white people and I shall provide no significant reasons or arguments for my hatred beyond that. So there."

Dave Chapelle is funny as hell, but I agree that racism is no laughing matter. So, I guess I'm a neutral.

I don't give a damn. I don't watch the Chapelle's Show and I never will. I think it's stupid and if you don't respect my opinion, then go fuck yourselves! Thank you and have a nice day.
