It seems there are some Hatmen and Stranger kickin' the sheet outta them. Awesome! :D

And, yes we have seen those images, months ago. The first guy is named Flint Explosives McGee. The other is named Blisterz Booty.

Wow! Stranger's first ever prober screenshot! The Envroment dose look very cool, the graphic's are well detailed. Stranger look's almost real, alot of deatal. Hat men look cool,but a bit blockey, but this gameplay screens anyway. The sky dose'nt look right to me though.

That is not true, I had seen this pic on two sites before I was going here, and when I saw the pic, I already thought that it would be here long time, So I had never had one thought in my mind about posting it here. Unless it wasn't here of course, but it was posted here, and as you see, I replied 7 minutes later than the original poster but the news was there already 4 hours ago, but at that time we didn't had electricity :(, Everyting was powerless for the last 4 hours.

I think it looks excellent! Im sure it'll look even better once its in motion, and the detail is incredible!

I'm a little disappointed by the gameplay shot, all the bad guys look the same, sadly. Other than that, it's intriguing. I hope that if there is hand to hand combat fighting you can lock-on bad guys [LoK styleee] and do some thooperlicious moves.

Why does it matter how fast the screenshot was found, just enjoy it! :fuzgrin:

Under Stranger's left arm, it's a signe on the wall, that's in bllue. And it show's water mark's and this ball on top. Is that a Volwork? Get the larger image and you can see a buttlet fired by (you can only see his hat) from the background, behind the wall, at Stranger.

I'm not saying the graphics aren't good, but I think Stranger could use a little bumpmapping, what do you think?

The bad guys all wear the same hats - an interesting way of showing their allegiance. But their faces are different.

I think the coolest thing about the screenshot is the way that Stranger jumped. Its a very natural but cool pose.

While the screenshot does look frickin awesome, and definitely better than Munch's Oddysee, I've seen better. Even on the PS2 (Which means that the PS2 version will easily definitely look just as good as the Xbox one, but I digress). I think it's the style more than the quality that makes Oddworld stand out above all the rest.

That screenshot is a dissapointment to me. Unlike MO, this doesn't look as unique or ambitious, It looks like any old 3rd person mascot game. The graphics look like first generation Xbox quality. It looks nothing like the CG that we have seen. There is still many months for improvement though. I'm only talking about this individual screen mind you, it could look completely different in motion, and I'm confident OWI will produce a great game.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the screen being of the final build of the game. I'm sure it'll be more polished when it's released, haven't we been hearing that the in-game graphics are close to the FMV graphics?

I know its not the final build, but it still doesn't look as good as the early MO tech demos. I guess we'll have to wait for Abe Babe to confirm if that was what she saw when she was playing the game.

Games always look 100 times better in motion. Just look at The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker. People can complain about the graphics all they want from the screenshots, but if you ever see it in motion, watching the grass sway and the characters move, it just looks awesome.

Abe Babe tends to overhype when it comes to oddworld quality, this doesn't look like CG to me. It looks good, but it's not CG.

Makes me think, is OWI actually confident enough it will look like CG? They posted Abe Babe's quote on their site.

Anyway, I have to see it in motion to have a better idea.

Whoa...Xav'x thread on this subject isn't as popular. And I thought that's where all the cool kids were going. ;)

Anyway...if that's the best screen they have to show us...I'm scared.

I mean, maybe it looks better in motion...or maybe that's an early test thing. But dude, that was the screen released by EA to promote the game. Don't you think they'd give us the best OWI has to offer?

Aaaah, stop calling it 'CG'. That such a silly term to use for pre-rendered movies. CG = COmputer Graphics. Therefore, the screen demonstrate perfect 'CG', though of course it doesn't look as good as pre-rendered movies. No game does.

I havn't shown my thoughts yet, but I must say that I'm very disappointed with the fact its going to be on PS2. That fact almost certainly tells us that the graphics are going to be identical which means less pre-rendered movie looking in-game stuff, and more PS2 graphics on the Xbox.
I'm actually surprised they're releasing it in Spring next year, I would've thought it would've been longer to completely port the game to the PS2. :/
