Differences between males and females on Oddworld
Where are the differences between males and females on Oddworld?
i was browsing on Depths of Oddworld and saw a Stranger pic, where a Salimander has breasts- that's a female, isn't it? http://www.depthsofoddworld.com/imag...images/dc9.jpg The female Clakkerz has breasts, too. And they have eyelashes, like female Vykkers do have. Other forms of females are the queens. I hope to see female Steefs in Stranger. :) Some other things you mentioned? |
:
female Vykkers? that's impossible look at that quote: :
|
:
oh. ok. i remembered a pic of a Vykker with lipstick. |
I think that's what you mean:

But yeah, the Cosmetic Surgury Vykker...anyway, on to the point I wanted to make. It seems strange that a lizard (amphibian?) and bird species would even have breasts, seeing as how neither of these branches of animal do in real life. Herps and Aves don't have mammary glands, hence the term "mammary" (=mammal). However, since this is Oddworld and with the fact that breasts are one of the ways to distinguish genders, I'll just sit quietly and accept the fact that I see Avians and Herps with boobies. Heheheh. Boobies. :D |
yeah, I think it's nice too to make non mammary like animals with mammals...
especially when you see that the mammary like animals have a queen reprodution I wonder it their insects breed and lay eggs :D |
um, I think I got the jist of what you said (I think...) but I never really saw sligs, glukkons, or mudokons as mammal-like. More like birds or lizards maybe.
|
Some females are more wildlife creature like in oddworld.Scrabs and paramites have no queen.Vykkers have no queen but have females.Mainly species who represent something in real life have females e.g. clakkerz are chickens and hillbillies and you cant have hillbillies without the granny and the wife! But whereas abe and glukkons sligs etc....They dont look like nothin on earth so they only have one dominant queen just like spiders do.Its kinda like though...Clakkerz dont look too serious do they? Its a bit funnier looking than sligs aint it?So either I said something there or I blabbered allot a crap

2) I already said and proved in the second post of this topic that Vykkers do not have females plus Mudokons look like slaves Glukkons look like corporate bosses Sligs look like dumb guards |
Well if vykkers dont have females they are gay.It says they mate with themselves. And it doesnt matter. Those are jobs not animals.
|
:
2) hillbillies aren't animals are they? :p |
:
|
sorry but gays don't mate with their own body...
or at least I don't think so |
:
Hermaphrodites don't reproduce with themselves, as far as I know. (I could be totally wrong though! :fuzblink: ) |
:
|
Hermaphrodites don't reproduce with themselves, that's right...
thats why oddworld.com added that they could self-impregnate themself |
Oooh, well I suppose its the same thing, in a way.
Thanks for clearing that up, with the Vykkers issue. |
no prob, that's why I'm here... ;)
|
What is everyone discussing this for? Its says clearly on Oddworld.com that Vykkers reproduce with THEMSELVES A-sexually. It dosnt mean they are gay, or have females or any of the other stuff some of you guys said. Xav seems to be the only one here who actually knows what the profiles say.
Xav, why did you say :
And I dont reckon Scrabs or Paramites have queens. Or perhaps Slogs as you suggested in some other topic. Three queens are enough. That stroyline might grow a little thin if every race had a queen. Oh and when you said Sligs look like dumb gaurds...what kinda gaurds have you met? I'd be having nightmares for weeks if I saw a yellow mechanical pants wearing red eyed gaurd with tentacles coming from his face. ;) Which one of you said Spiders had queens? Spiders dont have queens! Thats bugs that live in colonies and stuff! Spiders live alone! They only come together to mate, (and some spiders eat there mates. and no I'm not mixing them up with preying mantis. Some spiders do eat their mates) and then their babies bugger off to live alone. Spider queens. phht. Well thats my little rant over. Breath in...breath out...breath in... |
:
2) actually Alf mentionned in the Dear Alf that there could be a Slog queen, that's why I suggested the Slog queen 3) that's true... you have a point :p |

How about Gabbits? Was'nt that Gabbit that bumps into another Gabbit in the intro movie was female, I can see in Her/he/it eye's.
|
What? They all look the same to me.
|
like SligSlinger, they all look the same to me
|
lol. Sligslinger, I know. I was kidding. But he did say 'looks'. See thats the word I was playing on. see. That one there. The looks one. Yeah, that one. No to the left. Down a bit. No not there. Go back up again. Wrong page. Honestly SligSlinger... ;)

Most (in fact, all) amphibians have internal reproductive organs which extend outwards during mating. This may be why there is no apparent difference between male/female Gabbits. Also, since Latimare (Munch) is apparently naked, I think it was wise to keep those things hidden. Like, when cartoon peoples who don't wear pants appear on screen, we don't see any dangly parts.
IT's FO THA KIDS! |
like censor's glue...
|
Lol, Nate. :D:p
Gabbits do have females, though. Possibly they're a bisexual species. However, contrary to the popular opinion that "three queens is pushing it," we've been told that super species is the predominant reproduction model on Oddworld, and yet the number of species with queens is less than the number of bisexual species! I demand more queens! Mmmm... Bolamite queen. :D |
I still want to see the Queen of bees. I mean, the big Queen.
|
I reckon Gabbits have females. Females lay the eggs, male fertilize them. Although Oddworld could have some other way...
