Your Best Fan Art: Post it here (for my Fancorner_
Obviously when building a fan corner on a website, you cant just steal artwork from the forums that you like, even if you put the right name under it. You have to ask permission. So here is where I want some of you guys to post your favourite/best artwork, as long as you dont mind it being posted on my site (with full credit to you, etc.)
So, anyone got stuff to add? (You can see whats already posted on my site by following the link in my sig, so you dont end up posting a pic you've already given to me) Thanks guys, hope you can/can be bothered to help :D |
Can/can't be bortherd?

"I hope you can (as in you are able to do it) / can be bothered (as in give a rats ass)

Don't worry, be happy
Hey drakan 90,
don't worry, be happy. I think this topic wasn't failed. You can go to other topics like the Art Contest and ask for some drawings there. I think that way is better because the artists will see your request better. Don't give up. May I give you a picture? It's a very very old one. Wanko click on that link - I hope it works See you, Alector |
It seems hard to get artwork of OW for some reason. I haven't had anyone send artwork to Oddworld-Web for over a year now ... so it's the same old stuff there. When I asked Alf too, he said that OWI don't get much stuff sent in either. For my other site, I get overloaded with it. I guess OW fans like to keep their artwork to just forums maybe. :fuzconf:
Abe Babe... |
I believe its more or less a copyright issue Abe Babe because thats a big thing in the art world. I know because I am a freelance artist and Ive done lots of work for several clients in the past year or so and I have to say I did pretty good in my first year of freelance work. Anyway what I am saying is its probabally for security among artist who don't want their work stolen.
But here is a solution to this issue. All you do (and this is what I do at least) is when you sign your work when your finnished with it beside your signature add the copyright symbol "©" followed by the year (2004). Ive learned and have seen from other professional works that the artist always signs it this way. Infact I sign my work with "DR ©2004". This way it will ansure security. Now with that in mind then you can post it anywhere. Paramiteabe... :fuzblink: |
I keep my art where it belongs, on this site espicaly for putting your art. I even put a link on my sig.So grab the OW art, but you have say it's from me! and ask.
Yeah i put a "©" on things that i worked hard on, and made up. Ahh how much fun it can be, having your own things. |
