the derivation of "Mudos"
something has just occured to me: the continent/country, whatever called Mudos, is where the action in the present chapters of the Quintology take place, correct? Do the Glukks call iT Mudos, or is that just what Lorne has named it to differentiate it from the rest of Oddworld? I mean, isnt it odd that the glukks wouldnt change the name to "Glukkos" or something, since Mudos obviously draws from "mudokon?" Just wondering.

Wrong! It's the other way round. "Mudokon" derives from "Mudos", not the other way round... And anyway, since the word "Glukkon" must have derived from some other word, why would they want to change it? I mean, if they changed anything, their species name would just mean "Inhabitant of _____", instead of whatever it means now. Because "Mudokon" is "Inhabitant of Mudos".

The Glukkons do indeed refer to Mudos as 'Mudos', or else the Mudos Arena would have a different name.

this might be a dumb questioned but what is mudos (im a little rough on oddworld history)
|
Mudos is the continent on oddworld where the games take place.
I'v seen these kinds of questions alot maybe a FAQ is in order. |
*shakes head in disway* sorry, I should have known that! I had forgotten about the "kon" meaning inhabitant. Yes, I remember a thread a while ago about the original of Oddworld names, but I have forgotten some of them.

oh is there any other glukkons on the other continents or mudokkens

We don't know yet. So far, only the continent of Mudos has been revealed, and it's a very small continent according to OWI.
