Oddworld Awards: Winners announced
Yep after a week of voting the winners of the Oddworld Awards have been annouced. Even though i was expecting more people to vote the winners must still be congradulated.

*sigh* I would have been happy with only one award. I don't understand why Oddworld-Web never wins any award... that is two years now that I didn't win anything. I guess my site is like that saying "always the bridesmaid, never the bride".
Sorry to sound like a bad sport, but I always get the impression my site is not as "accepted" by the Oddworld community as being a main fan site, even though I put a lot of work into trying to keep it up to date, etc. Anyways, congrats to all that won. Hey don't worry Abe Babe, i didn't win any award and neither did some of the other sites in the Oddworld Awards.
I go to yours, Oddworldian's and Oddworld News most days. You did also come very close to winning to awards, you were 1 vote away for one of them |

Actually Xavier, there are some cases that I have news up before Oddworldian (I know no one can beat your site with news :)). I usually think I get my site updated about the same time Sydney does (unless of course I'm busy w/ work or something, but that happens to everyone sometimes). It's just I feel that sometimes I'm doing my site for no other reason than for personal reasons. You should be able to relate to this, as I remember you were concerned no one was going to your site either a while back too.
As for new features, I'm still waiting to get my Xbox back before I can do all my reviews and updates on Munch's Oddysee (as are most sites). But generally I've had quite a few "features" over the past (i.e. I was the only site to do my own article on impressions of e3... everyone else just linked to the gaming sites articles). And I have a huge update/feature coming in the next day or so. Abe Babe... |

Yeah your impression Of the E3 was very good And your little reportage inside Oddworld was very good too! I don't know what is "wrong" whit your site: It look's cool, sometimes good news, some very intresing features, and sometimes cool uploads (the menu bar). What the hell is wrong? hmmm I found your site is cool, it shoud be more... oh shit , I don't know ! PS: the last news is about the BEGINNING of the awards, it's allredy over, I think you shoud note the winners or something... Can't wait until the after launch project is released Abe Babe. I know it will be well worth the wait.
I to am updating my website drasticly, so it will be down for the next few days. Can't tell you what it is, hopefully you will all like it. Hopefully this will bring a few more people to my website, so far only two hundred and something people have visited it. Also Oddworld Universe is now a solely Internet Explorer webpage. This is because my added HTML stuffs up with Netscape. Yipee!!!!!! |
I must admit, I felt kind of guilty when I posted the news about Oddworldian winning awards when Oddworld-Web didn't win any. Honestly, I was very surprised with the results as Oddworld-Web has more features/information than my site. Oddworld-Web also appears to be fiercely supported by OWI with whatever changes are made, while Oddworldian is often brushed aside.
I've noticed that Oddworld-Web has been getting news up before me, too, so I was especially surprised upon receiving the Most-Updated Award. I've been very busy lately, thus neglecting my site. |
I was good for the uploads too (most times a week) but Oddworldian was the best.. Don't understand why ?

Sydney don't feel bad that you won many awards, Oddworldian deserves it!
I actually feel bad that I said what I had said. I just wasn't meant to win any awards that is all. And it is probably not that people don't like my site, but when they choose between my site and Oddworldian, then they have to choose one. I'm not going to give up on my site just because it didn't win an award. It gets a lot of hits each day, so people must be visiting. Plus I have a message about the Oddworld Universe to spread, so I must continue to do that! :) Sydney, you should try writing an article on Munch's Oddysee or something. If you notice the times when I have been mentioned on Oddworld.com it is usually when I have written a feature article or done something huge (like my recent browser). I know you wouldn't be able to do a review of Munch yet, but something to keep in mind. Abe Babe... |
Maybe if you updated your fanfiction section more often, you'd have won... ;) Just kidding, I don't mean to nag... :D
