Yes. Yes I have. Online comics range form the terribly stupid to the hilariously unstoppable.
Try Elftor.
You may also enjoy Kid Radd.
I find A Modest Destiny to be very good.
And let's not forget White Ninja!

beserker slig 06-25-2004 12:10 PM

white ninja is just one of the comics where the author tries too hard to make you laugh.

I just keep up to date with Penny-Arcade. I've checked a couple of others out, though none have held my fancy enough for a revisit. I'll check out these when I find the time.

Pokey the Penguin!

It is just.... stupid...

Dogwitch! I don't think you can read them online but it is an adult horror comic book... The main character is Violet... She's beautiful...
Here's the site:

Sinfest is a cool little web-comic. It's updated almost daily. The guy is really devoted.

Linkage in my sig.

I like the Penguin one that was good!

TheRaisin 06-26-2004 09:22 PM

8-Bit Theatre is good, fer sher. You might also wish to try The Life of Riley, which can be found (most of the time) at www.clanbob.net/modules. It's down right now, though. I'm not sure what's happening, but I think something bad happened. I think someone close to one of the makers got killed or something. I dunno. Bad, whatever it is.
But the best web-based comic ever is this: www.megatokyo.com. It is absolutely amazing. It's an online American manga that incorporates everything I love about manga into one comic, but it's very different than other manga because it is made by an American. It kicks ass. It beats every other comic in every other genre in the world in the history of comics. Read it. Buy the books. It is the work of gods, descended from the heavens to bring meaning to the lives of humans.

Oh yeah, SeaRex's stuff is good too. SR, you'd better go pro. Or I will find you. And force you to do it. I mean it. *shakes fist meaningfully*

Angst technology is great for anyone who likes computer games; its set in a games company
www.inktank.com
That website also has a few more comics that are worth a look.

Another good one is Angel Moxie (amazingly it actually has a plot, as well a being funny) http://www.venisproductions.com/angelmoxie/

TheRaisin 06-30-2004 09:16 PM

That Angel Moxie one is cool. I read all the way up to the current strip in one sitting. Addictive. Very funny. Very witty. Very good, yiss. Appears to be somewhat... girl-oriented... but what the hell I'm manly enough to like it. And I enjoy shoujo manga on occasion.

the brew master 06-30-2004 10:14 PM

yeah i totaly love penny arcade.....

Nate 07-01-2004 03:23 PM

I dunno, I've never really been able to get into penny arcade. Its funny but it doesn't grip me in the way that others do.

There is one called Polymer City Chronicles which I haven't read in a while but it started off good. A bit like any comic; every now and then a plot would come up and within 5-10 strips the plot would be resolved. And then one day they started going in a more detailed plot that went on. And on. And on. For two years. Continually getting deeper and deeper into the plot, opening up more loose ends and questions. Until one day he (the cartoonist) just cracked a joke that he had got in so deep that he couldn't dig himself out and just started from scratch. I think he made it a Dallas-style 'It was just a dream' and continued where he had left off two years previous.

I used to read that one. The guy had a really neat style and a great sense of humor... but the whole "big boobs and big muscles" thing got old after a while.
