... it really is. I mean this is the first time ever that I have come and there are even no updates in the 'General Oddworld Discussion'. Its been this way since E3 ended and Death left. There haven't even been any exciting fights lately. It says something when the most interesting thread is about bestiality.

so anyway, what suggestions do people have to make things interestion until the July updates (in the short term) or O4 is released (in the long term)?

I'm looking for things along the lines of:
#New topics of discussion
#New and controversial interpretations regarding the theology of Abe's Exoddus
#Personal insults
#Homophobia, just so we can get something funny out of jacob

What is with everybody? This place doesn't feel dead to me. I don't come here just for Oddworld...I have friends here. When nothing is going on in GD, I just mozy on over to Off-Topic. It's been like that for me as long as I've been a member. What makes it different now?

It's just the calm before the storm. Seen it before, when the new game comes out, the forum dedicated to it will be flooded with newbies.

i agree with oddguy, i hardly go into general discussion. ive only posted in GD before (i think), but until the new game comes out, im gonna stay out of the way.

The day the forums die, is the day I go mad. Seriously, this is just another iteration of the trends set by the history of the forums. But, if everyone feels so strongly about it, why don't you actively participate in posting once again? :p

But seriously, after watching this place since I joined, I've learned that it's gonna take a hell of a lot more then lack of a few regular posters and lack information about new Oddworld games to bring this forum to it's knees. OWF has been through a hell of a lot in the time it has existed, and do you know what? It's still here today, isn't it? :)
As far as I'm concerned, this place is far from dead, and still has a lot of life left in it.

Yep I totally agree with you. It's just this trend has been longer due to all the mystery surrounding OW4, wheras when MO was coming out when I first joined there was soo much stuff going on because the release was the month after I joined. Plus, there was so much information being released from OWI for so long too. This place definately will be busy when we get a lot of new information etc, or as the game is released.

Nah! The forum is quiet because everyone has exams and the weather is so good I'd like to think that the majority of you guys (the British at least) will be out kicking back in the sun rather than sitting infront of a computer screen...

I have no choice... I'm at work... God the weather is gorgeous out there :(

Well... at the minute I'm desperately trying to find a teaching post but working in a call centre for a 6th form college in the mean time... taking enrolment and absense calls and messing around on the internet in between calls looking for work and causing havock on a certain forum!!!!

OG... you should really PM me these questions or Alcar will come striding out of the clouds like a Valkery (female Viking "angels" fully armoured riding winged horses thought to have carried dead warriors to Valhala) smite us down and then drop our broken bodies from 1000 feet before getting anywhere near valhala!

Its not bad pay actually £7.10/ hour... I also work in a clothing store on a Saturday for £5.55/hour so relatively this isn't bad pay at all!

I shouldn't really be messing about on the internet though... but if I didn't my brain would start to run through my ears!
