Fez 06-05-2004 10:06 PM

Hobo 06-05-2004 10:09 PM

Hey, I'm allowed to give warnings for what I see as spam, and this looks like spam to me, if a higher authority disagrees then the warning's taken away.

Majic 06-06-2004 02:04 PM

PA has captured some good stuff. But why does nobody else represent the classics? The Beatles? The Who? The Rolling Stones? Bruce Springsteen? Surely, Muse is not that good, to top all everything else:p

Well Majic you want to know why nobody on OWF has mentioned the classics from the most greatest music era of all time? Well because everybody on here except for a selected few like myself have actually lived in those days when music really ment something. Here is some more great Music from 60s and 70s, and 80's.

Jefferson Airplane (You Got Somebody to Love)
Jimi Hendrix (All Along The Watch Tower)
Bob Dylan (The Times are Changeing)
The Beatles (All their songs)
All Things Must Past (George Harrison)
Wings (Maybe I was There)
And many many more!

Al the Vykker 06-07-2004 07:42 PM

1.)"Saturday in the Park" (Chicago) *I have my own personal reasons too, but theres something about it also that I love about this song.
2.)"The Breaking of the Fellowship" (LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring) *The story of my life. Theres too much to explain with this one.
"Come What May" (Moulin Rouge) *What can I say I'm a Romantic. Plus as with the first one theres other reasons also why this song means a lot to me.
"Round Midnight" (Thelonious Monk) *A beautiful reflective Jazz Piano piece, simply wonderful.
"The Reason" (Hoobastank) *Another one that particularly is influenced by my feelings, and my own personal reasons.

I've got a bunch more everyone after one and two are in no real particular order though, because there are definately a lot more I can list later, that enjoy from a wide variety of styles of music.

Majic 06-07-2004 09:16 PM

2.)"The Breaking of the Fellowship" (LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring)

As part of a cheese band camp for mostly 6th and 7th grade students I helped at, we did a simplified LOTR medley. A rather ambitious attmept, seeing as this was a suprisingly complicated 3 page piece for such youngsters. But as I recall, that was a pretty kick ass part of it.

How can you talk such crap? "The days when music actually meant something"? You weren't even alive in the 60's! And "The most greatest music era of all time"? That's three different eras!

paramiteabe 06-08-2004 03:17 AM

Facs I said 60's 70s 80's. Three Decades of great music held in its place as one huge era the best music era of all time. I never said I was born in the 60's. I was born in the 80's. The last decade of the greatest era. I believe the 60's 70's, 80's was one of the greatest times for music so I call it a three decade era.

Paramiteabe... :fuzblink:

Yeah in the top Wind Ensemble next year I think we are doing a LOTR medley or something. I'm looking forward to it though. But yeah The Breaking fo the Fellowship is just such a moving piece atleast for me and I dunno it also does sound pretty kick ass.
