A boring game that I iced!
Play this game.
WARNING: Incredibly boring, No music, Hardly any sound, extremely easy Beat my score if you dare! |
That's kinda ... dull. You're right.
I got bored after 52. Play this instead. It's (slightly) better graphically, but not quite as ... monotonous. There is more happening. Just play it and you'll see what I mean. |
I dare. How the heck do you lose on that game? I tried losing and it didn't work. A game just isn't a game if you can't lose.
Here's my score. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...tid=1851&stc=1 -oddguy |
I got bored and stopped playing after 492.
|
Dave...I've played 'defend your castle' before. That game is just strange, but oddly entertaining. I've had my fill of it though and won't touch it for a while.

I aint clickin' it. The last time I tried to go to a Newgrounds game all the porn pop ups froze my PC. A little bit of a scary happening, since my folks were home and all the suggestible banners on the page would not have made me look too good had they come in.

I got to 75 before I realized that SS and oddguy need to get a life. :D

Boring games, O-M-G!! This past week has been an eternity of boringness of gamesage for me!!
First i got 'Dino Crisis 3' thinking "Oh, the first 2 were good...this should be okay as well!!" No. It wasn't. I'd rather lick a thorny Rose stem then play this again. The camera is crap and the Dino's are just silly. The FMV's are crap as well. So, i traded that in and bought 'The Suffering' expecting something thooper!! No. Rubbish. The story, although interesting, was violently drowned in the blood the game felt it had to ooze. Basically 'Serious Sam' just with dialogue. Also, the blood on Torque strangely disappears into nothingness after a few seconds...intriguing. Personally i'd rather run my tongue along a 15 inch sandblaster...whilst it was on. So, i then traded that in for 'Ninja Gaiden' thinking "It's got good reviews. THOOPERLICIOUS!!". No. Not thooperlicious. Boring. Hard. And boring. More boring and boringness and a bit more hardness. Now, don't get me wrong, i like hard games. Games that challenge you. But MY GOD, please challenge me whilst being non-linear. Something this game needs to give birth to...non-linearness!! So the graphics are gorgeous. So you can flip and run up walls et al. Big deal!! If i wanted to see hotness of graphics and flipping and linearness i'd watch a movie. This game was painful to play. Irritating and painful. I am immensely disappointed and would rather poke myself repeatedly in the pupil with my forefinger whilst shouting "I HATE STRAIGHT MEN, THEY'RE ALL F*CKING INGRATES WHO ALL WOULD RATHER F*CK ASS ANYWAY." in the middle of a football match. So, tomorrow i am planning on getting 'Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy'. I want something fun. Not gorgeous. Not dark. Not gory. Fun. 'Beyond Good and Evil' is a perfect example of this. It's gorgeous, amusing and fun. You take pictures of things and run around. There's animals. There's no blood. There's no gory "headshots". There's just humour, happyness, talking Pigs and a green haired rock chick [rock chick-chicky rock]... More reviews coming soon... |
Jacob, exactly how far did you get into Ninja Gaiden? You do know that you eventually get to a larger, free-roaming city after the first 3 (?) stages, right? Sure, you're always on a "mission" thing, but the game has to adhere to some form of story. And stories are... well... linear.
|
Oh, i'm on the city part and i just can't believe how crap the game is. The graphics are gorgeous but the gameplay shockingly foul. I'm about to take it back now and get Sphinx. I just can't see why it got such good reviews...it's odd. I think it's because of the graphics...because everything else is Monkey poo.
And who does that white-flamed face guy kill anyway? He slashes what, looks to be, Ryu. Yet Ryu's still alive and all wanting vengence...so was it his father? |
No, he kills Ryu. The falcon thing brings him back to life as a "soldier of vengence" or some shit like that. I don't know, it's a Japanese legend or something. I had to look it up, myself...
But that brings up the fact that Ryu is actually a ninja and a zombie. How many games have you played where you get to be a zombie ninja? :D Bah, I think the gameplay is great. I mean, Ninja Gaiden has been the only game since Abe's Oddysee that has actually challenged me to become better. I've only had two really "frustrating" experiences; one envolving the first band of spider ninjas that attack you, and the other being the cheap-ass Alma boss at the end of mission seven. Oh well, different strokes or something. I would give it some more time if I were you (if you haven't taken it back already). |
I played it somemore and more. I still think it's bad. And quite pointless. It's not as if the fighting is enjoyable either, it's just irritating.
Anyway, i haven't got 'Sphinx' they didn't have it in. So i've decided to save my money. Was going to get 'Hitman: Contracts' but instead, didn't. Was going to get 'Otogi' but alas, didn't. I think i'm just getting tired of games in general, there's really not a lot that i can enjoy anymore. T'is irritating when i'm bored. I'm going to wait and see what new games this next month brings. Hmmm, if i have quite a few nights out to go on i might even just wait until 'Fable' comes out... |
I absolutely love your use of language, Jacob. It's brilliance.

He does have a way with words. Even when arguing with me, I respect him because of how well he gets to the point in his posts.

Well... you should at least get the new Prince of Persia game instead of Sphinx.
Because I said so, I guess. :| |
