Cat ran away.
I know, this is a bit pathetic but, as the title suggests, my cat has run away. :(
I've been expecting this to happen for a while now. He was found as a "runaway" that got turned over to the Cats Protection League, which is where I got him from. So he does have a history of getting himself lost. I don't know what to do and it's really breaking me up, so I'd appreciate any support you could give. I'm hoping that he will come back. God only knows where he is right now, but so far he has never just (quite literrally) run away like this. The worst thing is, I actually stood and watched while he ran off! And he really did leg it. I'm so sure it was the torch I shon on him to see where he was, because the moment I did that he ran away... Anyway like I said, any support, advice, or kind words right now would be just gravy. As it is there's a £1000 reward on him now to anybody that finds him and brings him back safely - hopefully that should be enough to persuade people not to keep him, as he's pretty darned loveable. :( I'm so not going to trust him going out again. :( |
No! The poor kitty... I like kitties. They're cute and cuddly. Does it have a collar at all, or is it an outside cat? My kitty is mainly indoor, but always begs to be let out. So we keep a collar on her anyways. If your kitty returns, I'd suggest that. I think it's about time for another "What does your pet look like?" topic. Had one a while back... some hopefully have some now.

The cat has a collar but no identity label. He had one of those stupid "identity slip" container things that you unscrew to get a piece of paper that tells you about the cat, but the bottom just kept on unscrewing itself, and in the end my vacuum cleaner robot sucked it up!
So I WAS going to get him a little name label inscribed with the name he responds to and his home phone number. But never got round to it. He is an indoor cat that likes to take a sniff about outside, which is something I let him do once or twice a day. But usually never without supervision - which is incidentally the reason I saw him run off. |
Ah... me/my brother took my cat down the the greenbelt right down the street, just about 4 houselengths down, and we set her in the grass there. She got damn scared though. She don't like going to far away from home.

You'll never guess what.
He's come back. :| Covered in cobwebs I might add... I just went downstairs to go get a drink and there he was! lurking about in the garden waiting for me to let him in. Silly bastard! Wow what a fool I look now. :( |
No, no no no. If my kitty ran away, I'd probably be in tears and mindlesslyy rambling, at least if I wasn't outside looking.
|
Tell you what, it's made me appreciate how much I love my cat... Right now I'm going to give him a big meal, clean out his litter tray, and will go out at first light and buy him a name tag for his collar.

I'm so happy for you! I have an indoor cat as well, and sometimes let him outside to sniff about. One time, my dad left the door open and my cat ran outside. I went to retrieve him, but he got scared when a UPS truck drove by and just bolted. He was gone for 5 days, until I finally found him on the roof of my house!
Here's what he looks like. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...tid=1778&stc=1 -oddguy |
I'd check for any missing Spoons...

You were quite lucky that he came to you and not to some guy who would have demanded the 1000 pounds (Sorry, this keyboard doesn't have a pound symbal. Australian.) Not that you shouldn't pay i in the situation, simply that that kind of money us useful. Worse yet, he may not have com back at all. You don't look like a fool at all. |
Cats are independent. My cat Stimpy used to go on little 'vacations' and be gone for weeks at a time. He'd always come back looking quite satisfied with himself.
Then again, he was quite the little casanova. |
i would think your cat would have seen a little "GF" if ya know what i mean ;)

My cat is the Alpha cat of the street. \o/
He did another disappearing act last night, and I found him out at the front of my house, confronting a cat that was snarling and hissing at him. My cat basically ran at him, kicked his ass, then strutted about as he watched the other cat leave - tail between legs - w00t go Moses! |
