What do they sound like?
Yes, a simple topic. But how do you think the guys talk in Stranger? Well we all know how Stranger talks, but what about the outlaws?
Here's what I think... D. Caste Raider- Because of his name's punial prenounciation I first though that he'd have a latino accent, but due to a recent inhabitants description of the character I think he has the stereotypical deep western-accent. Blisterz Booty- As described by Sapphire, the average western-dumb-accent just as I thought. Filthy Hands Floyd- Due to his low-brow wicked look, I'm guessing he has an evil raspy voice with cunning in each syllable. Meagly McGraw- He has a very manic look among his face, I'm guessing his voice is filled with anger, similar to FHF's voice only a little more..er...insane. Looten Duke- I honestly can't tell, the one picture we got doesn't show me enough to judge him yet. He probly has a deep voice, but due to his Title as a duke I think he has more educated speech. Pack Rat Palooka- Just like MM's and FHF's only--do to his cigar--more raspy and mad. Mortimar Bang- Like the duke, I can't quite put my finger on what he sounds like. I'll leave it up to you to decide. Flint "Explosives" McGee- Defineately like the glukkons, deep mobster voice. Period. What you think? :) |
I think you are kinda right, good analise

I never heard any of OW4 how they sound like. But yeah you could be right about how they sound like. I though the Clakkerz sounded like Vykkers. I like...

There are a lot of new characters. I wonder how many of them Lorne is doing the voices for. I mean, everyone must have their limits don't they?
|
they sure do... plus it was said there are lots of spoken audio
I guess lorne does Stranger and a couple of other characters |
You know how True Crime:Streets of L.A. had Christopher Walken as a guest voice and Grand Theft Auto:Vice City used Ray Liotta? Well, I ways thinking that it would be really cool if Oddworld got some guest talent. Like Jack Nicolson for Meagly MgGraw, maybe Dan Castanella for a really diabolical Krusty voice for Mortimar Bang, etc.
|
that means they have to hire those guys again if those caracters are in any next game
I don't like the idee |
Lorne said in an interview that they prefer to use in-house voices because outside talent is expensive and notoriously uncooperative with the games process, where the dialogue is changed on a regular basis. They would thus need to bring actors back repeatedly (fitting in with the actor's schedules, of course), paying extra every time.
