Vivisection- (Clean Version) (shocking pictures!)

Please everyone visit this site. http://www.novivisezione.org/mostra/pan1_en.htm it made me cry and I am alraedy a member and volunteer for NAVS (national antivivisection society) but I need to do more. Please visit this site and and moderators/admins please don't move this thread- I need to speak out in the most important forum here. There are graphical pictures in this site.

Di$array 04-29-2004 07:29 AM

WTF that is sick

Bionic 04-29-2004 07:35 AM

You should have warned people about the.. graphic.. pictures.

Edit: Thanks..

mudokon 04-29-2004 07:35 AM

:

WTF that is sick

its the sick truth of what scientists do to animals. Animals and humans display different complexes so vivisection and any animal testing needs prevention. I just can't bear to see animals hurt. I would rather sacrifice myself than see an animal get pain inflicted upon them by some evil bastar* scientist.

Di$array 04-29-2004 07:37 AM

yes it is shocking

VaniLLaKiLLah 04-29-2004 07:44 AM

that's just, i dunno what to say...
it reminds me on http://rotten.com

Hobo 04-29-2004 07:49 AM

erm. OT is more popular than GD you realise.

*Won't click link due to others responces*

The Red Muse 04-29-2004 07:53 AM

This is not supposed to be here--- oh...yeah...what hobo said...

Anyway.

That was horrible!!
Very disturbing.

Hobo 04-29-2004 08:01 AM

Actually, these links shouldn't be on here. I'm sure they go against Terms of use. Please delete this thread someone. Or at least stick a load of warnings on the title. For the love of a non existant god.

Nath 04-29-2004 08:12 AM

I dunno, is it in the wrong thread. I mean, sonar in it's head and stitched eyes. Sounds familiar.

Havoc 04-29-2004 08:23 AM

I just wanted to say that :P. And sorry, although its realy cruel and all and it completly drives my sick, the picture with cat and the electric thing in its head made me laugh. Sorry :P couldnt help it.

Esus 04-29-2004 08:48 AM

Don't be sorry, everything has a funny side to it - that website and Mudokon's posts included.
Ignore the fact I havn't and won't look at the site.

Jacob 04-29-2004 09:28 AM

Why should it be closed? That's a ridiculous notion.

I felt sorry for them...the end.

quidproquo 04-29-2004 10:01 AM

Don't delete this thread! While it is quite graphic, this is exactly what oddworld is about. Oddworld wants to show world the truth. It's wants to show the public what corporations and governments are doing behind their backs.

Havoc 04-29-2004 10:09 AM

so true... Actualy this is exactly whats happening in the quintoligy... so why are you guys making a big deal out of it?

Hobo 04-29-2004 10:12 AM

I just think that there isn't enough warning about the graphic images.

Havoc 04-29-2004 10:19 AM

Well then a moderator can step in and edit the post and add a warning... and thats probably what will be done when Alcar gets on.

oddguy 04-29-2004 11:51 AM

Me no lookie! I do believe that rats can be used in the name of science. New York has a huge rat infestation that science could benefit from. Sure, it may cosy quite a large sum to have people catch all those rats, but it'd make the world a better place.

Animal testing and animal cruelty are two different things. Although I do think the really demented expirements should be stopped, I think that some people over react. If someone cures cancer or AIDS at the expence of 100 monkeys, I think that that is justified.

oddguy 04-29-2004 02:58 PM

Couldn't have put it better. Although experimenting on Cats and Dogs is weird because those animals are such a big part of American soceity. I would rather scientists not work on Cats and Dogs, but if they have to, I'd like not to hear about it.

I haven't clicked the link because I don't know what vivisection means. What does it mean?

oddguy 04-29-2004 03:02 PM

Click the link and find out. ;)

Never. [/scaredy cat]

Jacob 04-29-2004 03:35 PM

I always thought Vivisection was when a man had his tubes snipped and tied...

^Valsectomy or vasectomy or something.

And that site is gross. Well, what their oposition is doing to animals is.

Sekto Springs 04-29-2004 04:19 PM

I looked at all 12 panels and didn't see anything that surprised me.
Hacking up little animals isn't all bad, think of fuzzles, and all the nice products we get. And besides, I've seen worse on Happy Tree Friends.

Although, I will admit that those totally pointless experiments should be abolished, like deliberately smashing a dog's leg with a hammer to study shattered bone.

oddguy 04-29-2004 07:06 PM

viv·i·sec·tion

The act or practice of cutting into or otherwise injuring living animals, especially for the purpose of scientific research.

Its a big issue in my Childrens Novel... although it wont be THAT extreme...

Fez 04-30-2004 11:11 AM

JESUS christ.....

Why do they have to sprey perfume in the animals eyes? Why cant they just put it on their wrists like we do?

Havoc 04-30-2004 11:13 AM

hehehe... probably to see how much it damages the eye's IF someone is stupid enough to do that...
