intresting theory |
No Order and with best albums
Anthrax: Among the Living Megadeth: Rust in Peace Primus: Sailing the Seas of Cheese I dislike threads like these because I feel like I'm giving too much representation to a certain type of music and certain bands. So many deserving bands and albums that I love off of the list. |
I've never heard of Muse, what are they like.
|
Muse are fantastic, like all bands they have their not so good songs, but the good songs really are something to judge other music by.
Check out Bliss, Time is Running out and Plug In Baby for some good stuff. |
:
well here we go 1. Creed - Bullets 2. Red hot chili pepers - Fortune faded 3. Counting crows - Miami |
I'm sorry, but I must add Modest Mouse to my list. They're just too damn good to leave out.

I'm with BBS222; I had never heard of Muse before I joined these forums...
|
I remember the first time I saw their 1st song, Bliss, on TV. I thought it was very, very cool, jumping in a large tunnel that runs through an entire planet. When he came cam out on the other side, it reminded me of Star Wars, The Emperor Strikes Back. You know, when Luke is hanging on to an antenna on the underside of the Sky City after his hand was cut off by Vader...

Yes! Another fan! I'm proud to say I can recite that entire Bohemian Rhapsody at the speed of light. |
Mamma, just killed a man. Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger now he's dead. Oh Mamma, life had just begun, but now I've gone and thrown it all away-
MAMMA! OOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOO! Didn't mean to make you cry- If I’m not back again this time tomorrow- Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters. I love queen. Another good song is Bicycle Race. Love that song. -oddguy |
Heh heh heh. Me too. I first heard it in Wayne's World, and for years afterwards I remembered that scene simply as "the headbanging scene", before I learned the name of the song. Good scene. Good movie. Good song.

Outstanding songs: Time Is Running Out Butterflys And Hurricanes Sing For Absolution Hysteria |
Actually, I'd never heard of them before I came to OWF a year ago. Yes.

Heh, I must be spreading my Muse mania :p

Currently, I'm totally into video's made with CG. Such as: Linkin Park's Points of Authority (Reanimation Version), Muse's Absolution, and Use Yur Imagination...
|
Covenant - We stand alone, Dead Stars, Wasteland, arg too many to name.
The Aquabats - Super Rad! System Of A Down - Aerials |

Yay! <3 <3 <3 |
I feel like I did Pink Floyd and Smashing Pumpkins and Mushroomhead all great diservices. Which has just been remedied, since I mentioned them.
What do you guys think of my band? Check out the link on my first post and check out the songs we have online. They aren't recorded very well and don't represent our band very well, but it will have to do for now. Sorry for the shameless plugging. I'm done. |
I'm tempted not to download Muse, just because my overly-hyped-yet-oddly-overdone sense is slightly tingling. I mean, I don't mind listening to music that just sounds good, but when rating top kind of stuff, I usually prefer to take into account actual talent/originality displayed.
Of course, I know nothing aobut them at all, and I'm doing a heavy sin by predicting any generalizations at all just because they're liked to death so suddenly. EDIT: I think I'll go ahead and download some Muse tomorrow, though... Along with Aquabots. I trust Mac's faith:p For music, at least. Have to keep a leash on the boy to make sure he keeps only with you in bed... Like a damn dog he is. |
