What´s your favorite Abe´s voice?
The Abe´s voice change a bit from AO to AE. What´s your favorite?
I prefer the AO voice. Sound more pretty, funny and intimate. The Abe´s voice in AE sound (for me) like Abe seems ill or cold. Lorne said the he isn´t happy with the voice of AE and what Abe´s voice in Munch´s Oddysee will be a mixture between the AO and AE voice. Will see... |

I love the whistles is AO, i whistle that way all the time. I also would have to say the vioce from AO. "This is Rupture Farms..."

I prefer the AO voice...it sounds more Oddworld-ish and it's the "original" voice to me.

he had a girly and not mad voice in Ao, but Ae, his voice changed when he bumped his head. Hmm, did his brain got screwy!?

I like the voice in AO, it's better than the "gay-voice" in AE! everytimes When Abe were killed from a Slig, he said "oooh", man...that sounds sooo stupid!

I defenelitivity liked the AO voice da best, it was like... he was careful when he talked, but still, well commanding.

Nothing wrong with being almost 30.
Anyway, I like the AO voice more. I think Lorne must have had a cold when he did the voice for AE. After playing a while AO or AE I get used to the difference and don't care anymore; it's only the welcome 'hello' that sounds strange when switching between AO and AE. |

The AE voice is a more mature Abe voice.
I like it better, but when i did get AE for the first time (which was the day it came out!) i was amazed that the voice had changed. But when i got used to it, i found it better |
You know Abes Oddessy sounds better than Abes Exodus. Plus you get to wistle. But I think Lanning probally had a cold when he was recording the voices for Abe in Abes Exodus.

Well here's my story: today I finally bought a copy of Abe's Oddysee (before I only owned Exoddus and had only rented Oddysee in the past many times) and it's been a few years since then...
I've been so use to Abe's new voice that his original was CREEPY! In fact now that I've gone through the games FMV's again I understand why some people feel the second game was so different. The first was full of dark (even darker than I remember) tones and Abe spoke ONLY in rhymes!? Though I love the original I am more fond of Exoddus. Whenever I see Abe's pinky I get meloncholy... |
AO was infinitely better! Abes voice was darker, a little more opressed, and the way he only spoke in rhymes was very haunting. I much preferred it.
