Ah, I was wondering why he hasn't been on in a while. In that case Abe Babe, you need to move Facsmilie into the "Registered" user group. Somehow he got switched into the "Members awaiting confirmation" or whatever. I think he'd email Alcar about it, but if Alcar has no email, then he obviously can't see it.

Umm, on a slightly different topic, I didn't even know that Alcar had left until I saw this thread. So I was wondering, if Alcars exits are so, well, "quiet", how do any of you figure out that he has gone?

Anyway, Alcar's been away breaking many records I tend not to read about. It has been smoother since Alcar left, I think it's because he's created a regiment of enemies, and now that he's been away his lil' regiment is moving in and opening up. But now it appears he's using Joshy's account as his basin which really pisses me off. Just because he's a mod he thinks he can just waltz up and possess people which I think is really asinine.

Why the **** does Peter need to log on to Joshys' account to post? Why can't he just log onto his account from Joshys computer?

Sounds fishy to be honest. And "time thing"? What the **** is that? I smell bullshit coverup stories.

The only logical answer to this, is that Peter is actually the man behind the Joshy account, or that Joshy is just pretending to post as Peter. I would've thought someone who is as apparantly intelligent as Peter would've worked out that he could just log on as Alcar from Joshys' PC.

Ok the logical answer:
Firstly Peter cant log into his account on my computer cause he wasnt at my house.
The "Time Thing" he just doesnt want to stuff up what post he readed or not since he doesnt have time to actually post and stuff, he just wanted to browse the forum, and he didnt want to stuff up what forum/post he readed or not. (hmmzm my bad english, doesnt sound right...)

So in Conclusion: Peter had a short time to view the forum, but he doesnt want to stuff up his "time thing" which records which post he readed or not. So he used my account to view the forum.

Joshy that doesn't make any sense. It's just a load of incoherant blabbering.

Please explain the "time thing", and also explain what you mean by "stuff up". How does posting on your own account stuff anything up? I have an account in just the same way Alcar does. And don't bullshit me with some talk about it being "special for moderators", because I know exactly what the admin CP panel does and looks like, and I know that it has nothing to do with the actual account.

And why is this "time thing" so important anyway? I mean, what is this "thing" that shows what post you "readed" or not? And why should that be the reason for Alcar not to post using his own account?

Ok i just thought of the best answer: The answer is i dont know, maybe Alcar just had some near death experience thats why he wanted to use my account to post so that it will draw some aliens to invade earth. Why are you making so much fuss about him posting in my account anyways?

I'll clear it up. By "time thing" they mean "new post indicators". If you log into the forums under your name, you get all those down arrows (http://www.oddworldforums.net/images...e/firstnew.gif) next to the new posts since your last visit. And also if you use the search for new posts, it shows up only those posts since your last visit.

The problem with logging onto the forums [for people that are concerned about such] when you don't have time to go through them properly, is that the next time you log in, your post indicators will be reset again. So you might miss some topics that you haven't previously viewed.

I have a similar problem at another forum I super moderate at. The site has portal integration, which means that when you go to the main site and not the forums, it recognises you as being logged in. Which means I lose my post indicators if I don't wish to continue onto the forums and do my moderating duties. So as a result, I avoid the main site unless I know I have time to visit/post/moderate at the forums.
