Why didn't you make the poll so people could click multiple choices? Considering you put the '/s' on the end.

The Red Muse 09-10-2003 05:00 PM

I speak finnish(no duh...), english, swedish, little bit of french&german+few words of japanese and of course the unated language of Frank.

Haha.

Fez 09-10-2003 05:42 PM

english, French, abit of spanish and abit of latin.

Wil 09-10-2003 06:04 PM

Occassionally I use the English language to communicate with others. Ah, but I'm learning French (woo!) and German (eek!) at school. I gave up Latin because I hated it (although I loved it to begin with, so it's not like I went in against the idea of learning it or anything), but could probably recall a few words and grammar points.

Mr Fisher also told us how to count to 10 in, I think it was Chinese. Includes something like 'itchy knee', so if anyone can identify it for me.... :p

Xavier 09-10-2003 06:44 PM

first: French

then Dutch and English

and I'm still learning Latin

Mojo 09-10-2003 07:11 PM

Dutch is my own language, but I can speak english too... I also speak a little french, a little german and a bit of spanish too. Used to have greek and latin at school (Aeneas Troianus est), but it got kinda hard, so I quit...

EDIT: Dude, I said dutch is my own language, so that means I am Dutch, as in from Dutchland, as in from Holland, as in The Netherlands... (j/k about the Dutchland thing...)

Abeguy 09-10-2003 08:08 PM

i also told you to put your country so please edit it on

Alcar 09-11-2003 04:39 AM

I live in Australia, and I can speak English. I know limited Indonesian (as we had to learn it in School). That's about all, unless you count the swear words I know in Cantonese, Vietnamese, Italian and Greek ;)

Cloverfield 09-11-2003 11:44 AM

I'm boring, I can only understand English.

Although I can read two Japanese words ... Final Fantasy and Sephiroth. ;) Oh that's three. And I try to sing along to a lot of Japanese vocals.

Abe Babe...

Cheers. Not that it matters much, because that's all I can remember from it. Oh well. Anyway, if you need to know, I'm from England, but you could just check the 'where do you come from' topic, or even more ingenious, swivel your eyeballs slightly to the left and read the bit that comes after 'location'. ;)

Hobo 09-11-2003 03:17 PM

That's left max......

Anyway, i speak English, French and Limited German. I don't like Languages anyway.....

Wil 09-11-2003 03:24 PM

ONE WORD POST! just for you to know

MrBoj 09-11-2003 10:02 PM

I'd just like ot point out that "Jewish" is not a language, nor is African, and Pig Latin is stretching the boundaries of what a language is, isn't it? (as is Esporanto....)

But I speak English and some spanish, though I have been foprgetting a lot of the rules in Spanish as i go year anfter year without any schooling.

Though I would love to learn French and German.

OANST 09-11-2003 10:08 PM

the language of the jewish people is called yiddish. Oy Vay!

That's what I was trying to get at with my post. I guess I should have made it a bit more obvious.

Facsimile 09-12-2003 09:01 AM

I found it obvious. You continue in your sarcastic ways, Mac.

Now Abeguy, you are officially pissing me off. Change your location so it has spaces, before I cyber-smack you.

Forbidden Paradise 09-12-2003 11:17 AM

With "Native Australian" do you mean Aboriginal? Or just the way Australians talk.

Kangaroo actually means "I don't know" in Aboriginal, as they did not understand what the hec the first Aussie settlers were talking about when they asked "What's that animal called?"

Ah, that was something I forgot to mention. I know the Melodies Of Life Japanese version song off by heart, and so if you catch me off gaurd you'll sometimes hear me singing it, ever so softly.

GrigtheSlig 09-12-2003 03:23 PM

I am from the US. I can actually speak English, and I'm really trying to learn Spanish! Really! I could order food at a Mexican resturant in Spanish! Taco! :fuzwink:

Nath 09-12-2003 07:30 PM

I speak english, but the country I come from is Wales, and the native language here is Welsh, But I can only speak a little of it.

Croeso.

ha! that's sounds just like it. heheh, damn settlers!

I hear Wales is a boring country, with a lot of old people. a friend of London said so, so you can blame her, not me! I swear! :P

Nath 09-12-2003 07:40 PM

There's more young people than old people in Wales. The only thing about this country is that we're surrounded by mountains. But the night life where I live is brilliant, I live next to three pubs, watching everyone get pissed is soo funny.

MrBoj 09-12-2003 07:44 PM

yeah, there's 2 clubs around me neighborhood, and watching all of the "cool" and "hip" people get wasted is funny. too bad they become liable to burn newspaper stands and make a mess of the street, which i find the next morning on my way to uni. :(

Hebrew okay! ya happy?
African, hence the word (any)
Igpa atinla isa a anguagela Osa eretha
and Esporanto is a language made by a man that tried to create a language that everyone could speak so we'd be in world peace, but as you can see, that did not work, but there are groups of people who speak it as there native language

and for you oanst, some speak yiddish, this is why, long ago, jesish men didn't want women to speak Hebrew, so they made yiddish (which is a mix with hebrew and german) but who taught the kids? the moms! so that is why alot of hebrews speak yiddush you putz! and there are two dialects of Original hebrew, Saphartic, and Ocshcanasiac (or however you spell it) so there

Silversnow 09-12-2003 08:20 PM

I come from Sweden (all the time saying this, over and over and over...), so I speak swedish, a bit french and I can say "faggot" and "moron" in orchish (which I use a lot behind peoples back). I don't speak english though.
