i was thinking what lengths most of us would go to for the oddworld series. By that i mean, if OWI decide to do games for PS3, would you buy a PS£ just for those games?

Most definitely, yes. That's why I got my Xbox.

Same here. I bought Xbox because MO was going to be on it. MO was my first game! If OWI decide to put games on a system only availible on an alien planet by travel through wormhole, I'd be the be one of the first signed up to go!

Well, not exactly. I'd definitely consider it, but I'd also have to consider the other factors involved. Such as the quality of other games produced, the graphics power, features, etc. I'd also probably wait a couple months before I buy it to make sure it gets a strong base, and doesn't just flop like the Dreamcast.

Ad long as I had my OW game, I wouldn't care if the system flopped! I love Oddworld!

I'm hoping that OWI's see sense and stick with Microsoft. PS3 will be good but Xbox2 will be better...

Would Sony take OW back after they moved to Xbox? I was left with the impression that OW ticked Sony off when they moved.
I think OW should stick with Xbox.

I'm sure they ticked Sony off. Oddworld was a fairly successful game series on the PS1, and I doubt Sony would want to pass on that success to Microsoft.

I'd buy the moon if it played the new OW game!

I agree with you Jacob, I never liked the Playstation. Where as Xbox is a worthwhile console. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee was my only Xbox game for about 8 months. But, then again, depending on what games come out on the PS3, I might buy it. Only if it had Oddoworld :D

I don't know whether I'd buy another console for it, I was just lucky to already have a PS1 when I found Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus 'cos I already had my green xbox before I got Munch's Oddysee. If I am as broke as I am now.... I'd have to say no, but I might consider getting the game just in case I buy the console later when I'm rich. :fuzconf:

I'm thinking of getting Oddworld adventures that was released on the old gameboy... but I'm not sure whether this is just another name for Abe's oddysee on GA or whether it was actually a different game to that???? Any of you guys know??

I doubt OWI will change from microsoft to sony. They know that nearly all of their fans bought Xbox for Munch's oddysee, and will be dissapointed if only 2 games get onto the Xbox.
I have Oddworld adventures on the GameBoy, it's nothing like AO or AE.
Btw, PS3 wont be Ps3, it will be caled PSX, and a handheld one called PSP but the PSP still plys disks.

well if they change of platform I will probably buy a new console...
but I like the Xbox very much, so I hope they will stay on it

For some reason I look at GBA version of OW and I cringe! OW was never meant to be on GB in my opinion.

If it gets OWI needed money, then I support it!!!

I'm not sure it supports them since there is no much relations between OWI and the "adventures" games
Owi just "sold" a part of their world to other publichers, kind of....

Various Inhabitants did help Saffire creating the game, so they may get paid for. I wonder if ex-Inhabitants still get paid for the money made from the earlier games. Plus it does use the Oddworld liscence, so I imagine there'd be some money involved. I would get them both, but I don't have a Game Boy of any kind.

Wrong, they're all different things. The PSX is an upgraded PS2 so I have dubbed it the PS2 1/2. The PS3 is called the PS3 and will funnilly enough be the third major sony console. The PSP is a handheld PS2, kind of like the PS1 for the original PSX.

I have both adventures on PC (yes, an emulator, I admit) :fuzwink:

I quite enjoyed the Oddworld Adventures, though I admit they are pretty stinky compared to the others. It was good if you were in and Oddworldy mood and you had to travel.

Spike, Hobo, Sorry but the PSX was the project name for the original Playstation and the PS1 is a smaller version of the Playstation. I'm pretty sure, but you can PM me proof later, Okay?
