What do you think is better
This topic has probably been posted before oh well any way what do you think is better Abe's oddysee Or Abe's Exoddus.
I think Abe's Oddysee is better because its a bit more challenging but Abe's Exoddus is still very good. BYE ;) ;) ;) |

 As for me, I found that Abe's Oddysee was more challenging, simply because there was no Quicksave option, so if you died, you had to go back and start that section again. Whereas with Abe's Exoddus you could quicksave before a hard area and keep trying it without having to re-do the level. Also there are no clues on how to find the hidden Mudokons. However, my favorite of the games is Abe's Exoddus, because I love the levels, they seem to be more complex (as in size wise). Abe Babe... |
AO had more atmosphere, but is harder, and AE is longer and much more easier, but I like both very, very much. :)

oh wello!
AO is the best for me because it explores more of oddworlds natural features. Ae is also kewl because it refelcts on the industrial side. AE is much easier and AO is much harder. AO can be frustrating about where you have to start when you die and AE is a bit spoilt with the quicksave. AO = 10/10 AE = 9.99999/10 |
i think AE is better than AO, because Abe can slap other people, can possess Scrabs and Paramites, the GameSpeakâ„¢ is better the Backgrounds are great, the flying Sligs, the Glukkons, the Sloggies ect.ect.ect.

Vykker please edit your post! I hate this scrollings. Well as you said befor both games are cool. I like AE more (perhaps why I´ve played it more often and I played it first.) I think the gameplay in Ae is better, also the graphic and there aren´t so many glitches. |
well, well, well, well, well, well...... well, you get the idea. I think that they are both great. AE improved upon the excellence that was introduced AO, such as the Quicksave option. In AE, they also made finding hidden Mudokons easier, what with the
"green bottle clues" and all. It was much difficult to find Mudokons in AO, even though AE was WAY longer. SO to answer which is better, is there even a word for "better" on Oddworld? |

I would have to say that Abe's Exoddus is the better out of the two. Mainly because it is way bigger, and the movies are a bit better to.
But Abe's Oddysee is still a kick ass game, and i still play it as much as Exoddus. :) |
Yeah bigger is cool, but puzzles and action is what i want!

What do you mean "silly" rhymes. AE was the one that stuffed it up without putting in any rhyming. Thats what gives the game origanality, something new. The poem in the beginning of AE is really cool, i typed it and printed it out so i could stick it in my locker at school.

I liked Abes Oddysee better, mainly because you spent a lot of time out in the wilderness, and I thought it was awesome (i.e. - Paramonia, Scrabania, Stockyards, etc.)

Well, I like them both equally. I like AO because of it's storyline, difficulty, and environments. I liked AE because of the new charaters, the length of the game, and Abe's new abilities.

From a gameplay perspective, I enjoy AE more, but I like AO's environments much better. Which is not to say that I don't scour the classifieds for jobs at Bonewerks... |

I loved the rhyme, too. It made it more of an epic story than some game.
"I found the switch to cut most the power, And there I was in the final hour." Come on, its great, especially the moon cinema after the Stockyards. |
Yeah Bojie is righto, OWI stuffed up Ae when they took out the rhyme. It added origanality. Instead they threw in really annoying lines like
"ITS THAT ABE GUY" "WERE SCREWED" |

I like AE a little more because when you complete a door in paramonian temple, then save it...i'd like it if i didn't have to re-do it...

bluescrab is right, its taste. I like AO because it is more mystical and different oddworld screwed it up when they took away the rhyming narrating.

True, I found the rhymes of AO cute; "It's that Abe guy!" kinda lost its novelty after the first fifty repetitions.
Having said that, though, I liked the videos in AE much better. My very favorite AE video is the one near the end, in the brewery. Mood music, cross-dialogue, filmography... it had 'em all. Beautiful. |
Yeah, I do like the rhyming of AO. It added a certian element to it, I'm not sure what. I also agree, Oddomatic, that the AE videos were better, although I do like the ones from AO. I liked how in AO they had the Glukkons and Sligs have a sort of slurred speach, too.

AO realy is more challenging but the levels are not as exiting as Exidus realy :p
