Not long ago, I heard on the news that we may be at war in less than two weeks. Being an Australian, I dont really care that we may be at war, as we are the country that doesnt care. But who out there gives a damn?

I give a damn.... I dont really think that Australian should goto war against Iraq unless:
The UN is backing up America
And the whole of Australia gets to vote if we send our soldiers to war, because Australia is a democracy.

Australia has no right to go into Iraq, just as America has no right in Iraq either.

My theory is that George is just trying to get into the history books in a big way while he's in his presidential role, and I also think that Johnny is trying to get a litte slice of that cake. They can make a fight out of it if they want, but Im neither for, or against a war.

Um....how about as long as it takes for Bush to realise war might not actully be as profitable for him as destructive for just about everybody else except America.

Back to the topic, why start a war to stop a war?

Why start a war in the first place? You think by the way we've changed since the days of WW1 and 2 that we would have opened our eyes and realised that theres better ways to resolve things...

WW2 was a war against facism...GO WAR!!

I know that, but you think we would have found some other way to deal with things in the past half century.

I'm Irish, and as the parade that took up the biggest street for over 20 min.s a lot of us give a damn.
As for America haveing a right to war on Iraq I have this to say:

In that parade, amongst all the posters of "No war for oil" and "troops out of shannon" I saw one sign,
one decent sign that made me stop, and think
and laugh in agreement
the sign said "Disarm America"

A lot of people are sounding pretty damn ignorant... "As long as it stays in America and Iraq, I don't care." What a lot of people are over looking are America's and Iraq's Allies. There are going to be more then two nations at war... and a lot of those nations agree war is the answer.:| :|

America doesn't want to go to war with Iraq for fun, because America has a huge oil industry, and if they take oveer Iraq, it would make it easier to buy Iraq's oil, cheaper than the Americans oil. the reasons France and Germany don't want a war there is because they're already using Iraq's oil, and a war could stop supply's (sorry if i'm contradicting myself)

People who don't think the US should go to war against Iraq are pretty selfish. Think of all those poor people living in constant fear in Iraq because nobody is helping them fix their country. Someone needs to something and it might as well be the US.

Define "everyone" Tori. If by everyone you mean creeps like Saddam, Laden, the Al Queda, etc you would be right. The US isn't trying to bomb the so-called innocents, the whole point of the war is to liberate them and remove a bad person from power.

Is it right to go to war just because a country has a different sort of government? I don't think so.
Once inocent people end up dieing, i think any war is wrong. I know that to stop inocent people dieing you sometimes have to go to war, but if you follow "An eye for an eye" the whole world would be blind

Adder: I think it'll be grand. Put some fear into those who defy you.
Paul: But what about the people who'll die? You can't just kill people!
Larex: Well...No, life is a bit too sacred to waste...or at least too valuable.
Lara: True, life needs to be.
Adder: So what, just let them run wild?(!)
Paul: Better than them lying dead.
Larex: Buzzards need to live too.
Lara: Win or lose they never need to know. But then...Who would kill those who feast on killed?
Adder: I would, if only they flew lower.
Larex: All you need to do is lower the pressure.
Paul: Will you ever stop trying to find out how everything happens! Who needs to know that you don't drown if you breath 3 breaths of water every second? I mean it's so useless!
Lara: Somewhere has a need for everything.
Adder: How can you raise pressure? (Sees Larex drawing in a large breath) No, I don't really want to know. Still, what about the next generation? They need to know arms!
Larex: Weapons will always be wielded, be they metal or wood.
Paul: Or magic.
Lara: Magic's cannot be wielded for evil; evil wields malice's force. At least, it used to be so.
Larex: Yes...Pity those who found evil did.
Lara: No, there was a reason. Nothing can just become with no reason why.
Adder: Then if war happens it was meant to be!
Lara: If must, it will. Or if boredom prevails.
Paul: Would you ever give a straight answer?
Lara: Who knows what's going to happen?
