I have mentioned before that I am a good artist. And it's true as long as you are me or half blind. But here is a picture to show you guys what I draw like. It is uncolored, rushed and boring. But then again I don't own a scanner (had to use someone elses) and don't have a good paint program.

Thanks for the compliment. I wish I had a scanner and I wish I had Photo Shop. I also wish I had my own website to devote to my characters and stories.

Oh well.

You are a very skilled artist, Khanz. I love your style; it's semi-simplistic yet detailed. Do you have any more? I would love to see them.

I have saved probably a good amount more than 300 pieces of my original artwork in the last two years. I wish I could show more. But I don't have a scanner. For now.

I convinced my parents to buy one. So you can look forward to seeing more of my work. I plan on learning how to use Photo Shop to color the images as well.

The picture I showed you is of Russ. Basically a tweaked version of myself (I'm Ross). I have a great story line for him. Sort of a dark Wizard of Oz.

Sure Mac, why not.

Basically it is about this kid named Russ. His family is screwed up but unlike most people he has done a good job with his own life, despite his upbringing. He does good in school and is in good physical shape. Emotionally and socially, however, he is incredibly lacking.

One day he meets an older version of himself. To much to go into detail here but basically he has been stuck in a loop. He grows old, his future self dies. He goes back to himself. He dies, his past self grows. And so on and so on. Pretty depressing. But this time things happen differently.

I won't give away to much of the plot, since I plan on getting the series of books eventually published.

Most of the stories take place on a place called NetherWorld (c). It is an alternate universe which is constantly bumping into other dimensions and universes. This means that all sorts of messed up stuff can happen there. Savage "stikk men", two dimensional worms, time traveling jackelopes, possesed stuffed animals. Those sort of messed up things.

I plan on writting thirteen stories about Russ and his companions. I have lots of great ideas. I just need to get writting.

Sounds great! Stuffed animals... *shivers* That sounds horrible... That pic reminds me of the necromancer in Diablo... You know, tall, skinny... Huh?

You call that rushed and boring it is great.

Actually that wasn't a rushed picture, I just found the original and it had a lot of detail in grayscale. This is just a scanner-safe version that i was going to color... but alas, I don't have a good paint program.

I like action. That picture is action lacking. So in my opinion it is boring.

Hopefully I can get some more pictures scanned some day.

Damn I wish I had a Scanner, so I could post my Off Topic Art work, and all my other Oddworld work, its really good, and I (Hopes for Scanner this year) hope I can post it by october or earlier, possibly.

This is the first time I've ever used the computer to color my work so please tell me what I might have done wrong.

You've wowed me. From what I can see, the shading perspecive, coloring, all looks great. Seems Ross's (or whoever) front side may be a bit lighter (judging by backgorund), but I like the way it sticks out.

This is one of my favorite (and oldest) characters. He is a schitzo who lives underground. His only friends are ghosts reincarnated in the bodies of stuffed animals. And he dosn't like amish because they always try to kill him.

After a long and perilous journey through the land of virus protection and removal software, my scanner finally works.

This first piece is called "Watchers" and may or may not be a part of the Nether stories. The original is alot better quality but it didn't fit so I made it smaller.

I must say, I'm absolutely in love with the worms pic. It's brill, f*cking brill. The cloloring on both of the worms pics are astounding. Again, brill. Face blanket reminds me of something that I would draw... I've got this thing for stitches.

Goddamn, everyone on this forum is awesome at drawing. I really need to get in the comic strip groove again... my skills are lacking.

That's a very unique style you have there Khanz. I like your alien dudes the most. Nice contrast of cool and warm colours. Nice in general, just that the proportions with Russ are a little off. But those aliens are wicked! Kickass! And that mucousman! Great job in general :). I give you my thumbs up!

And Searex, you're drawings are cool. I like your voodoo doll and that one with the OF member, who was it?

ummm yeah, that picture of Russ angers me. Waste of time and it's really old and baddish. But I wanted to learn PhotoShop on something simple.

CG, interesting that you noted the contrast. I like sharp contrast and use it a lot, often unintentionally.

I might be posting more pictures someday.

I did a concept of Chris (Jacob) once. I also did a little Dave (DI) cartoon face.

It's not that I'm saying my drawings aren't cool... I just that I haven't been practicing and my drawing skills aren't coming along like I would like them to.

I really love this whole "Nether World" thing you've got going. The whole thing just sounds so bizarre... yet very original. It sounds like you have some great ideas.

Although I gotta say, I do like your black and white stuff much much better. I never really liked colors.

Yeah, I'm weird like that. My entire wardrobe is mostly black or gray, with some white stuff here and there. Whee.

Thanks all for the replies. I like black and white too Mac. Since I'm in a jam band I need something semi-weirdish to make me unique (eminem-yellow hair, angus young-schoolboy outfit, etc...) so as of last time I bought clothes everything I wear is plain black white and red (with a couple exceptions, like band t-shirts).

SeaRex, I've actually started writting the first Nether story, but right now it's kind of blah blah blah. Its in very early stages and unbelievably I've had a hard time making the beginning interesting. I'm not sure if I want to let the readers really know the character at the beginning or just shove them into some action and screw development of the different personalities. I think I'll stick um in some wierd shaz and see what happens, and if the characters can develope themselves when I'm writting.

That was a bit longwinded.

Ooohh, thooperness with the Face blanket thing. Seems as if quite a few people (and by a few i mean Luke, Khanz and i) are doing stitch things...although i've only just learnt how to draw scales to a thooper effect...so i'm doing Injin, Obitus and Melik...aswell as a few others...

I also find the guy with the scythe thooper aswell!!

I'm still around and I thought I might post a picture I'm working on. It started out as colored pencil and sharpy and I've been messing around with it on photoshop. I'm not sure wha it is. If anyone knows, please tell me.

l<3vvl stuff, Khanz. I especially like them "Watcher" guys with the weird eyes. They look kinda like Mudokons with the proportions changed and the lower halves of their faces wiped away. As for your last piece, it's very obviously... ummm... a human being born out of a giant beetle? (shrug) Whatever it is, it's pretty tweaked, and that's why I like it.
By the way, I was just wondering: if you post a piece of fiction here, is it considered your intellectual property? That would probably be in the whole Privacy Statement thing, but I'm too lazy to look. Maybe a mod could fill me in. Domo arigato.

Man, that is one weird beetle thing. Kind of reminds me of... something. Kind of like in the Matrix, but that's not what I'm thinking of. Can't quite put my finger on it. Freaky, though. Gives me the jibblies. Brrrrr!
