MO trailer
http://www.xbox.com/games/oddworld/
Go there, and watch the movie. The carnivorous fuzzles are Cool!! Also, we learn what munch and Vykkers sound like. |
is this an actual movie? i couldnt find it...which way do i go from yer link?
oh, stupid me, its right there, i thought that was just another pic...i dint see the thing that said 'video'....one problem....it isnt working....*sniffle*....i need some funions to cheer me up....and maybe a can of sprite......yesssssss
'fraid i can't play it. For some reason whenever i try to play a video or sound file my computer starts acting really slow and choppy and it wont correct itself unless i reboot grrrr  any ideas as too why it does this?
Cool movie! Does anyone know how I can download it instead of streaming?
 That was just soooo cool!!
Woa, that was awesome. I always figured Munch could shoot lightning bolts out of his pluggin. Heh, the fuzzles were cool too. :p
The fuzzles ripped up the intern!!
i still can't see it! %&@&!)*%! computer! i can play Quiktime movies just fine but as far as any other types my computer just gets choppy and slow and it takes FOREVER to do anything! I have to reboot everytime!
Drag, try downloading Real Player. I have that, and I saw the movie fine in that. If you are on a slow connection, the movie will kinda look like a slide show...is that what it looks like for you?
the thing is i got so many different media players already. Ill try it. Where can i download it from? And i dont even get to the point when it starts to play. :(
That movie is fantastic! Some of it we've seen before, other parts we haven't. I love Munch's voice. And the music is perfect. :)
Yea, the music was a good effect. Munch is really cool...but him talking was so sad! *sniff* :( OI did a really good job.
Oh yeah the music rocks! Techno, yeah!
I-N-S-A-N-E!
Actually, up here in cold, cold Canada they showed this trailer on TV earlier today. No more worries about the transfer from comp screen to TV screen - the resolution is insanely good even on my crappy 10-year-old Panasonic. So long to worries about this game - I'm not even worried about slapstick humour anymore. Munch's voice was very well done (by Lorne, I assume), and it seems this game will have a lot to say about science and society. BUY AN XBOX - this game is worth $300 by itself. |
If I get an Xbox it won't ONLY be for MO but for the DVD Player, ALL future Oddworld games, and other games.
And yes, Lorne does Munch's voice. |
Well I was exaggerating... but only a bit :)
I saw most of the video on TV a few months ago...But if I buy a Xbox, it really will be just for Oddworld.
yep....that was terrific....and the music is best yet, besides maybe the slig theme. when news arrived that m,unch was goin to the x i didnt rage like alls youse who now hate oddworld because of the move. i accepted it. hell, i cheered it on! i guess thats the sign of a true odd fan...anyway, interns kick ass, and vykkers sound like old women. man, did you see all those creepy-ass tools those vykkers use on poor lil' munch??? poor gabbit....poor poor gabbit.
y'know i still didnt get some funions. |
I am happy with their move to the xbox. And yea, the Vykkers sound weird..I would've thought they were really mean and nasty sounding. Those tools did look pretty scary..but I think Munch gets out of there before to much harm is done. heh
I finally could see the trailer! Its really amazing!!!
I laughed out loud when Munch talks to the fuzzles. The Intern realises that something is wrong with all those little blinking eyes looking at him. Then Munch says: Get'im, and those so lovely little balls open their big mouths with all those sharp teeth and just EAT the Intern. Its exactly the kind of joke only Oddworld Inhabitants could make. :) |
What I actually got to see of that movie before my modem connection (ick) clogged looked fantastic. The music sounded even better than the tracks from earlier videos.
It seems like the Oddworld Inhabitants CG team have really outdone themselves this time... |
I can't see it, either. But something else is bugging me. On that page, under 'special psychic powers', there's the words 'humshrub' and 'Anesthesia bot'. Now, these certainly sound interesting.
New Oddworld things, or just an indication that my vocabulary needs updating? |
The new trailer has to be great! I´ll soon watch it! :p
I've heard that the Humshrub is something you harvest to gain Spooce (the stuff Abe uses to possess things.) And anaesthesia bots? Who knows!
Remember that those 2 minutes of trailer are only about a fifteenth of the total CG time in the game. AND remember that the real game looks almost as good as the prerendered scenes! Malice and Halo my ass... this is the future of gaming graphics! |
:
Need help to construct a webpage from a Mudokon? |
The fuzzles were funny. Those things under psychic powers I figured were some kind of devices used by vykkers. but they wouldn't be psychic powers.
ARRGGGG!!! i still cant see it! It will only play on wmplayer! I hope they come out with a Quiktime or RealPlayer version soon.

that movie rocks.
*cries* I can't get it to open either. *sobs, and then beats hell out of her computer*
well, my "wimp" (windows media player) has FINE sound but NO, i repeat NO, video. dont ask me, uill use the same answer i always use: my mom was screwin with my pc lookin for porn n erased my video player. but thanx 2 the process of elimination (n a little imagination) i can tell which voice is munch's n the vykker's. i always thought munch would sound like a lower frog-like voice, but he sounds like if alf was casun n had the pitch of the chipmunks. its okay though... n im starten to recognize Lannings's voice after a while
Only audio, no video: è@"#°%*
I guess you need Windows Media Player 7 to see it, and that only runs with Windows 98, and I have Windows 95. Am I right, or is their another solution? If not I need to upgrade 95 to 98. Is their somebody who knows how I can do that (without actually bying it? :p ) Thanx |
i love that trailer, but it's a bit grainy. i could ony view the low bandwidth version.
i'm not exactly unhappy with the move, as i don't have a ps2 either. but i will be right pissed off if they don't make a PC version. it should be easier with xbox anyway, as the architecture is closer to PC that ps2 was. |
I have a similar problem, really bad video but good Audio. The only access to a broadband connection I have does not work with Windows Medi Player, so I couldn't watch it there either. :(
I hope they put it in a more downloadable format so we can watch it properly. |
the damn thing still wont GIVE ME VIDEO!!!!!!
...take a deep breathe ...count back from 10 ...go away to my happyplace ...BREAK SOMETHING!!!!!!!!! |
You'll have to pay attention to your bandwidth. If your connection speed is too low, then the Media Player can only buffer the audio. My experience is anything below 33.6 is either too garbled to see, or it just won't show up. At my 46.6 connection, the low bandwidth video played fine, but the high bandwidth video played only the audio.
Weird. On Windoze 2000 I could watch both Audio & Video pretty well but now on my faster Windoze 98 PC I can only get sound and about 30 frames throughout the whole video.
Those Fuzzles and Munch should stop picking on Interns
*is still beating her computer*
I. STILL. CAN'T. SEE. THE. FREAKING. VIDEO!! I've tried everything we're allowed to try (*curses University-provided computers*) and it still say's it's an illegal file format. *sobs* |
interns are mean and sadistic.
