Wow where did you find that? It might be an early concept of a chroniclar. Or could it be what a Kahnzumer looks like? That would be cool. Or could it be Squeek? I doubt it but it's nice to think though.

I found it in a Magazine and it was about a visit to OWI

Looks like a member of the Octigi family to me. Sort of like a cross between a nautilus and a slig.

What ever it is we are definitly going to see it in future games if OWI came up with it I hope!:fuzblink:

WOW!! That would be so cool if it really is Squeek, he does look nice and original. The only thing that makes me think it isn't Squeek is that you found it in a mag. I'll keep my fingers crossed.:D :D

If u look at the arms they look Slig-like. Also, i doubt it would be Squeek as it looks evil. Also, the mouth looks Intern like.

That tool does look like a gun. See, it's a long tube with an aiming thing at the end.

But that mouth doesn't look like an Interns to me. To me it looks as if there's four tentacles sourrounding his mouth.

I doubt it's a Khanzumer, and it's certianly not an Octigi of any kind. My best guess would be that it's a hunting creature. After all, it has a head the shape of a komodo dragon's, a big shell on the hump of its neck that looks like the helmet of a white hunter, armour and what appear to be a gun.

I agree with Max, I think its some type of hunter. Look at its vest it looks like it could carry ammo or something? And the that thing its holding is defenatly a gun, no doubt about it.:fuzsmile:

I don't know, To me that thing he's holding looks native not industrial. It looks like the top of a staff. But I could be wrong.:fuzblink:

i say that it is most likely a new villian sidekick (like sligs or interns)

I have another 'What is it?' picture, but I scanned it in from a magazine, and it's terrible quality. It's a small image on a computer screen in the OWI Studios.

Having said that, I did try to get it in this topic before - when I posted "Hang on..." But I couldn't get it to work. However, I'm trying again.

I personally think it's a Skeeter.

Post-Script: It's poorer than I remember it. Maybe it's because it's only 2cm² on page.

realy hard to say OWI have still a lot of secrets for us.

No, I've already considered it being a Meetle. While I agree that it does appear to have four eyes and a familiar white shell, there's an aweful lot of it that doesn't conform to anything we've seen before. Like the three golf-club leg-like things protruding from the bottom, the exhaust pipe and smoke coming from the rear of the creature, and the three-pronged helicopter blades at the top of the creature.

However, I wouldn't be a person to jump up and down furiously and throw destructive objects at the OWI Studios if it did turn out to be a Meetle. It's just that from what I can tell it's something different.

Max...the 'Helicopter Blades' are actually the seat were the Mud sits. And the Golfclub things on the bottom are leg protector thingies. And what smoke?

Okay, I tried scanning in a better picture, but scanners just make poor-quality images. I tried getting way back from the screen to see if that made the imge any clearer, but still the best image I got was in the magazine.

In it (I've checked) you can see (well, I can see, I can't scan it well enough for you to see) the thing much more clearly.

Okay, at the top of the creature is a spike, not a propeller as I thought, and certainly not a seat. The big black thing on top of the white block is in fact purple and blue, and connects to what appears to be a metal mask at the front of the creature. This blows away that this could be a normal Meetle, because this thing's body is way too small.

I really doubt those are leg armour, because Meetles have more than three legs, and they're not that long. And the smoke could almost be confused for a fourth 'leg' if it weren't pouring out of an exhaust pipe.

Anyway, i doubt this is going to be settled easily. I seem to be the only one with a good copy of the picture. If anyone else out there has Issue 2 of XBM, you'll find this thing on page 43.

There are more than three legs in the image. I can see one more, aswell as that I guess some will be hidden by the angle we see the creature at.

Sorry, I also think this is a meetle!

By the way, weren't meetles the ones where if you fed them meat, they'd turn to this and this, and if you fed them whatever else, they'd turn to that...? Hmm... I'm getting my OW critters mixed up.

Most likely these designs were cut from MO, but I think they will be either in Munch's Exoddus, Or Squeek's Oddysee. But only time will tell.
