A while back we had a few discussions about the solution to the problem of spoilers, an inevitable issue that will start showing its face in a few weeks time. Munch's Oddysee will be released and many secrets will be revealed, spoiling the game for those of us who haven't yet managed to get our hands on it. To solve the problem, a new forum will be added to Oddworld Forums. Known as the "Spoiler Forum," posts with spoilers will be posted there. Oddworld General Discussion must only contain posts that wont spoil the game. Obviously, there will be members who disrespect the policy and will post topics in the wrong forum. A moderator will be employed to filter such messages, moving topics to their appropriate destination, which is why this topic has been created. If you believe you are capable of the job or wish to nominate someone who you think is capable, post away. You must meet the following criteria:

Currently, a moderator only has the power to move topics from his/her respective forum to another one, not the inverse. If the spoiler forum moderator will have the power to move topics from General Oddworld Forum, for instance, it implies a lot of responsability, because it means this mod will have access to all forums.
Is that what you mean Sydney? This way, the Spoiler forum moderator will be a "special" mod, making the fifth condition very important to be fulfilled. Nominees, keep that in mind!  |

Yes - I don't care if it's spoiled for me because I don't intend to get it. It'll be interesting to hear the reactions of real people as they play it. I actually think the fact that I'm not getting the game will be a bonus as my eyes and mind will be unclouded by the distractions of it. You visit Oddworld Forums at least once per day. I never come online without visiting this place. And I never use the computer without going online. Better rephrase that - it looks as though I'm avoiding the question. Yes, I do visit OF every day. You type coherently. Yes. I am an excellent speller and my predicted GCSE grade for English is A*. You use capital and lower-case letters where appropriate. I believe that's synonymous with good grammar, etc. To put it another way, yes. You have a positive and responsible outlook on the forums. Yes - I really like this place and have made a lot of friends here. I love the diversity (different individuals valuing each other regardless of skin, intelligence, talents or years). And I'd love to know that I'm makikng a difference to this wonderful community. I would also like to nominate Teal as a candidate... she has said that she doesn't intend to buy the game as well and I know her to be a coherent typer and a fun and nice person. Edit: Teal has said she doesn't fancy the postition, so I withdraw that vote. I'd also nominate Rettick, but he's already a mod. He is very good at his job though - perhaps he could be upgraded? I didn't nominate any of my other friends on this board because I didn't know how they felt about having the game spoiled, but now that Black Dragon has volunteered, I'd like to nominate her as well. And I know that he and I have had our differences in our time at the forums, but I would also like to nominate Steel Shark. He's bound to be getting the game on its release date, so it won't be spoiled for him. And I know him to be a mature and coherent writer, and a friendly person most of the time. I think he'd suit the position excellently. If Max the Mug is going to be able to stay online, I'd like to nominate him as well, provided he doesn't mind having the game spoiled for him. He's one of the old timers on this board and has contributed a huge amount ofl ife and colour. He deserves a privelige like this. And I think Pilot should be considered for the position as well. Someone dubbed 'the world's biggest Oddworld fan' will certainly do this job well. I believe I could do this task very competently. I am mature and responsible enough to take this seriously, without being over-zealous, and I think it'd be a rewarding and fun experience for me. I'm one of the old-timers on this board (although my member number may not reflect this as I did not immediately join when the board went UBB), so I'm very familiar with it and I know how it works. I have much previous experience with moderating; I run two public boards on my own, and another priavate one in conjunction with Dan, Em, Rach, Eddie and Abby. I have also been offered a post as moderator on WipEout Zone, which is an extremely respectable board and site (it's been commended by Sony themselves, and the webmaster has many contacts with Studio Liverpool). I know I am already a Moderator, but I feelmore like a Co-ordinator for the RPG than a Moderator, really. Besides, I am suitable for the job as I already have Moderating Experience, and you know me [I hope] to be reliable and fair. Also, I have been the first [and so far only] person to post in the Spoiler Forum, which must count for something... :D Also, if all goes to plan, soon I will be able to take over the forums... *laughs evilly* Edit: Note to Middlesboogie: If we're playing the Grade Game, I already have an A* GCSE English... :D But we're not playing that game, so I won't say that... If I don't get the job, I believe it should go to either Teal, BD, or Middlesboogie, since all three of them are long overdue for Modship... I have not seen the new spoiler forum yet, so I'm guessing that it's in the employee lounge or something, and if it is then it should not count for anything because no-one else ( besides the other moderators and administrators ) could have gotten to it!

Certainly a few people interested.
I just want to re-interate that this is a serious position which will hold a lot of responsibility. In fact it will be the most "important" of the moderator positions. Also, I'm confused that there are a couple of people nominating that in the past had said that they didn't want the game spoiled for them. Remember, you need to want to do this if you don't mind seeing spoilers yourself. Not just because you want to be a mod. I know I am probably not gonna get this job and so won't some others who had a good chance so I was looking at the mods on the other forums and noticed there was 2 for 2 or 3 other forums while one in others so I was thinking maybe could I (and some other responsible people like oddbodd) Be a modd of another forum like just an assistant mod!!! But only if they have mentiond it like oddbodd said he had wanted to be a mod since the old ezboard, well its the same for me so Pleaz Syd if u can pleaze consider 2 modds for each forums!!! IK really am desprate 2 be a mod in genral Pleaze!!!! Pweety Pweaze!!!! I can realy be good if given the chance Pleaze I know I haven't posted much but I only post if I have a reason....
