Requests For Banners And Avatars
Yep i am now making banners and avatars, mainly because i'm available to do them, don't got much of a social life.
Seeing as i don't have Adobe Photoshop, which i want to get soon, but it costs $700. I can't do all that fancy texts that i want to be able to do. All finished banners from me will be sent to you via PM and i will post them here. RULES-Last Updated 4th January 2002 If anyone asks for a banner/avatar you must: -Have been on the Oddworld Forums for at least 2 weeks -Have posted at least 20 posts -Also, if you have in the past requested a banner from another person and wanted me to do it instead bay them the curtesy and tell them this, i also would like to be notified if you would like another person to make your banner. All of these must have been aquired to be eligable to have a banner made for you. I noticed that Oddworld Master had asked THREE different people for a banner.
I know Sydney has said this before... what if either one of us had started to make the banner? Then one of ours would have been discarded. I am not trying to sound mean or anything here and don't want to signal you out Oddworld Master. But to anyone, decide who you want to make your banner. If you change your mind, pay the person courtesy and tell them you are getting one from someone else instead. I myself had made banners for people that asked both me and Sydney. But now I understand where he is coming from with saying this in the past. On the other hand, Alcar, it is great to see you making banners. Well thanks Abe Babe, i didn't know Oddworld Master had requested a banner from yourself and Sydney. I gotta look more at the other banner topics. He/She asked me to do one when i was on Oddchat today and i willingly accepted.
But i know that yours and Syneys are heaps better than mine. So i'm sure not to get that many requests *sighs* oh well. Anyway i will check back at the banner topics if anyone else asks me |

I can make banners too. Not really good ones, but....... I think I will start when my new site is up.

Hey Alcar.
If any of you have been following my posts for the past couple of weeks, i have created a banner but have failed in getting it into my signature. If you could find the time to create a banner for me, i would be eternally greatful. As I said, i have already tried to make my own banner. It's not much compared to what you are doing but i would be just as thankful anyways. My Caption: Half the smarts, Twice the bite! 1. If you could find a complete sea rex picture for the back ground, that would be awesome! Just add a blue "SeaRex" with my caption in white. OR 2. Bubbly/Graffiti style blue "SeaRex" on a black back ground with my caption in light blue. Plz add a Snoozer (NOT snoozi!) somewhere in there, too. OR 3. Big black and blue "SeaRex" with the worried Gabbits (MO opening FMV) in the background. Add my captionm, too. These are in the order of banners I want the most, but any of them would be fine. :D |

SeaRex, i still haven't found any pictures of a searex yet, all igot is the small picture of a searexes head, which is the same one as one of the forums avatars. Also it is great that people like my banners, i didn't know what people would say, but i guess people like them! |

By the way SeaRex, by the looks of what you've done, u have placed the image incorrectly into your signature. You must put [img] at the beginning of the images address and [/img] at the end of the images address. To make banners i go through a 3 Stage process:
Stage 1: I use Microsoft Paint, which is so simple yet so effective and good. I gather backgrounds and images of creatures etc. And place them on the background. Stage 2: I use Photo Impact SE to add the text, using text with paint doesn't appear correct. Stage 3: I either save it or if i need a transparent bacground i will copy it to Paint Shop Pro and save it as a transparent gif. So alot of work does go into making these banners. Although i wont expect you to buy all of those programs |
Well, I now that I've gone to an ordering web-site that they had 'Adobe Photoshop 6.0' for about $290.

I am desperate for a good oddworld banner but its been about 6 months since my first request to Sydney and about 2 since my most recent... So Syd is (I guess) not making me a banner so I iz gonna plaz a request here kay?

Okay, i feel like askin now. on my banner i guess i want it to say "Majic Abe" then closer to the bottem "Give your slog a bone" naturaly, with my obbsesion iwth slogs, a slog theme thingy with like one of those little slogy house things, i love those..... and i dont know if you got a picture of a slog biting abe. the kind of font, like for majic abe like that one you used on sea rexs new banner whatever it is. and for like the give your slog a bone like if you have andy that would be nice.
One last request, please no like messed up text you cant read kinda like how oddworld masters was with the yellow on like the light brown and green. i guess i sound like im ranting now but i personaly like your banners best |
