Get you're red hot E3 News here!

30 days to E3. This topic will be for any news I gather now and at the show next month. Some news if you have not already heard.

Abe Babe: FFX news info for you at IGN PSX2. July release in the land of the rising sun. 1st quarter 2002 in the States.Dont be surprised for a Nov/Dec 2001 release because of the competition PSX2 will have this Fall.

Galleon: A gamecube game now. First DC+PC, then PSX2, now Gamecube it's final home. Two of the main men whom worked on the original and best Tombraider game, groundbreaking for it's time have worked on this game for 4 and a half years since finishing tombraider. I have played 3 different beta versions over time. It is one of my most anticipated games. 3D act/Adv with major exploration and puzzles. with the power of Gamecube it will be extra nice. The game has had to evolve with time, and they have done so. I will be getting another look at the game in a day or so. It seems to be another strong point in getting a Gamecube.

Let me know if I can get some info for any of you faithful MO fans. E3 will be the best show by far, great times in gaming are near. The true next-generation is almost upon us.

Oh yes, one more thing look out for Terminal Velocities 3DAct/Adv on Xbox, it will be the best, right up there with Mo and a couple others.

And yes even one more thing, I now have 36 behind closed door meetings/viewings, of Xbox, Gamecube and PSX2 game developers at E3. (8) PSX2; (12) Gamecube; and (16) Xbox. That's about 6-8 hours a day for 3 days at E3. And that's besides my individual search of the perfect games and the private parties where I can get big-shot over drinkers to spill the beans on not supposed to be released news as of yet. I'll Keep you posted.

ODDBODD 04-18-2001 08:05 AM

E3 will certainly be a time that all of us Oddworld fans will be looking forward too. I have heard that the game will actually be playable there (damn... I won't be the only one anymore)... but I'm not sure how true that is.

I'm hoping that one of your closed door viewings is of course for Munch's Oddysee! :)

It's great to have you on board here Steel Shark. Not only to give us all the news first about Oddworld at places like E3... but also other awesome games!

BTW... thanks for the FFX info... looks like an early 2002 release for Australia then.

One day I would hope to make it to E3... but I don't think that will ever happen. I always am in the US around November, and there are no gaming shows on then.

Abe Babe...

Steel Shark 100 04-18-2001 03:19 PM

I will bring E3 to you Abe Babe, and others with interest in it's happenings.

I spend half my time in Europe, half in Newport Beach California. But no matter where I am I will always make it to L.A. for E3. We will have to get you there sometime Abe Babe. It's always nice to have Babes like you around.

Oddbodd, you want the bottom line, Ok then, MGS2 will be all you already know and soo much more on the PSX2. I will get as much in depth info at E3, just for you, OK. I believe it will be an enhanched version of MGS1 more like MGS 1 and a half on the Xbox. And then I also here that it will be a pumped up version of MGS2, we just have to wait 4 more weeks for E3 to see the the real story. It really is shrouded in secrecy thus far.

Oddbodd if MGS is your kind of gaming ( I dont blame you ) keep these games in mind : Picassio; Cat burglar; Saffire; and Terminal velocities secret game project, all with major stealth and action pretty much like the MGS series. The games just mentioned will be showcased at E3, I have private looks set up at E3, so I'll keep you posted.

All these games are by far better in complete gaming, A.L. graphics, than anything we have yet seen. Believe me MGS is not the only sweet game in town anymore, you will see soon.

I would like to get up close and personal with Mo. No connection thus far, but I'll see what can be done. Just imagine, how great Mo is going to be, soo much more than we can even dream about now. One thing for sure, weightlifting has paid off, if Oddworld dont get in depth with me at E3, I'll break down there doors and take no prisoners. I'm not named Steel shark for nothing.

Gamecube news: Software development delays will push back the domestic launch of the Nintendo GameCube by approximately two months, the company announced today at an analysts meeting in Tokyo. Nintendo now plans to ship its next-generation console in Japan on September 14 (it originally had been scheduled for July). That's going to push back worldwide launch plans as well, with the North American debut now slated for mid-November (rather than the October soft-target the company had hoped for) and the European launch now set for next spring.

A company spokesperson told CBS Marketwatch that the delay was occuring so Nintendo could ensure it had a wider base of launch titles which met its quality standards. Hardware production, the company said, was going as planned.

At least it's concrete news, no more maybe not this year type news. Mario/Luigi; I just cannot wait, don't forget it's not the old Mario of 96', it's 5 years later on a system that kicks some rear.

Steel Shark 100 04-19-2001 01:35 AM

Xbox news; and sweet it is; we know of great CG guality in game graphics coming, we know of high level Al. coming, now we get kick butt sound, the Xbox is now one complete beast, MO just got better, if that was still even possisble.

Dolby Laboratories today announced that it would supply Dolby Digital 5.1 encoders for Microsoft's Xbox. The encoder will enable the Xbox to be the first console that supports full 5.1 sound during gameplay. Previous consoles would only support Dolby Digital 5.1 during movies and FMV playback.

The Xbox features a dedicated digital signaling chip that enables developers to spruce up their games with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the fly with no performance hit to the gameplay.

Crank up the sound, things got better again. Yet another reason for an Xbox purchase, and counting.......

Steel Shark 100 04-19-2001 01:57 AM

Cavemen in my XBOX ? That's right, news of a crash-bandicoot/ Bonk style game is coming.

An Xbox game being developed by Yeti. Currently there is no title for the game, but hopefully more will be revealed at E3, as it is apparently shaping up to be a very impressive platformer for Xbox. Malice, Shrek, platformers are shaping up as well on the BOX.

Steel Shark 100 04-19-2001 02:29 AM

XBOX -Europe announcement. Microsoft plans to launch the Xbox in Europe sometime in March 2002. Officially, the company has only confirmed a tentative spring 2002 release date. Microsoft and Flextronics have established manufacturing Xbox facilities in Mexico and Hungary in order to ensure a healthy supply of consoles for both the European and North American launch.

Max Payne coming to PSX2, if you have not already heard. And a XBOX announcement coming at E3, you can count on it. Metal Gear fans should be happy ( that's you Oddbodd).

Namco's... Dead to Rights, a third-person action-shooter for PSX2 now coming to XBOX. PSX2, where it was originally coming is up in the air as of now.

The coolest aspect about this game was the disarming scenes, in which the lead character Jack Slate grapples an enemy, steals his shotgun, and then dusts him. Namco's team plans to animate the enemies' deaths realistically, with characters shoulders swaying back and forth, their heads popping back with force, and limp bodies crumbling to the ground. Enemies contain about 10 different impact points along their body for a variety of animations. Slate also can shoot while diving in four different directions, backward, forward, left and right -- and will dive off high ledges, balconies, and crates, for cinematic effect. MGS style gaming for all, another big feather in the cap for XBOX, Namco with this game and there already great fighting games and racing game Ridge racer series makes the Xbox sweeter again.

Steel Shark 100 04-19-2001 10:30 PM

Rayman is coming to XBOX and PSX2.The game will be called "Rayman M".

Ubi Soft has confirmed the making of Rayman M for the Xbox. Ubi Soft is working on 17 titles for Xbox. Recent news confirms Ghost Recon being developed by Ubi Soft owned Red Storm Studios, and UFC: Tapout being developed by Crave to be published by Ubi Soft. T

The M in in Rayman M, stands for multiplayer mode. The game will be set in the same universe as Rayman 2, and players will take control of several characters from that world, including Rayman himself.

Duh! Isn't everybody! Lotsa Oddworld stuff! WOOO!

Steel Shark 100 04-24-2001 03:58 PM

MGS2 news; ( that's right Oddbodd) I repeat MGS2 news over at Avault.com .

Nice preview, good in depth look at the game. Here's a small sample of what there writing :One of the most striking features in MGS2 is the graphical upgrade over the first one.Details like wet boot prints when Snake makes his way indoors, or the waggling tranquilizer dart lodged in a guard's boot as he walks past your hiding place, should leave most player's mouths hanging open the first time they run through this title.

The unique blend of stealth and action was the key to MGS's success, however, and it's comforting to see that MGS2 has followed in the same path. Walking quietly, peering around corners and timing your enemy's patrols to avoid detection are integral parts of this series, and they are even more greatly rewarded in this chapter. For example, sneaking close to an unsuspecting enemy and pulling your gun on him will often trigger them in a "hold up," where they raise their arms in surrender.

Just a small sample above to get your appetite going, so get going, what you listening to me for....

Steel Shark 100 04-24-2001 04:30 PM

Sorry Crash13 where ever you are but more positive news for Gamecube and XBOX.

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon franchises which were previously published only for Sony's PlayStation, will be made for the other new generation consoles including Microsoft's Xbox, and Nintendo's GameCube and Game Boy Advance. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon were previously published by Sony in an agreement that ended last year.

Still more reasons to own all three systems, just like the Steel shark has said from the beginning... Sorry Crash13, rest in peace....

Steel Shark 100 04-25-2001 04:48 PM

OK... take a deep breath, i'm excited, I have just been checking out a revolutionary game, top secret, cannot give all the details, but I do have an " exclusive" interview with the team behind the game at E3. I will update this first look of the game in seperate segments in the coming days.

A quick note or two if I may; it's a 3D act/adv game with major stealth and puzzle element,on the XBOX, my cup of tea.

POWER, raw power, this game is it, MO has a brother, it will stand on the great pedastal in the sky above all other games.

I will try to get as un-technical as possible, if that's possible. But here is a small sample of it's engine and it's power : Vertex Shaders to breathe life and personality into characters and environments, such as fog that dips into a valley and curls over a hill; or true-to-life facial animation such as dimples or wrinkles that appear when a character smiles.

Examples of vertex shading effects include: matrix palette skinning, which allows programmers to create realistic character animation with up to 32 "bones" per joint, allowing them to move and flex convincingly; deformation of surfaces, which gives developers the power to create realistic surfaces such as waves and water that ripples; and vertex morphing, which is used to morph triangle meshes from one shape to another, providing smooth skeletal animation. These are just a few of the virtually infinite number of effects developers can create using Vertex Shaders. By customizing skinning and motion, developers can create life-like personalities for characters and scenes, thereby intensifying the graphics experience.

A really cool and new form of Antialiasing along with the GeForce3 is now introduced: High resolution Anti-aliasing with 'quincunx'.As soon as all Pixels are processed there is the option the use Anti-aliasing to get rid of the so called 'Jaggies'. With the GeForce3 you can use the existing Multi-sampling FSAA methods or the newer and much faster 'quincunx’ High resolution Anti-aliasing.

It boils down to this. To recover a signal, or image, you need a minimum of samples to be able to give a realistic representation of the image. The engine in this game is astounding, the look is the best ever by far, top notch 3D CG art in real time, a massive 150+ hours of gaming bliss is promised. The game is like seeing Toy story 2 or Bug's life the movies in a gaming atmosphere, really spectacular.

OK I know I have probably bored most of you, but I am in the industry, and I am very excited about this game. Thanks for letting me scream out my joy.

My update will be only about the even more impressive gameplay, wow is the best word to describe it. See ya later...

Steel Shark 100 04-25-2001 05:09 PM

I'm getting dizzy, just got 3 new games for the XBOX, beta's that is. Will check them out.

The names are :Knights, an act/adv/platformer, saweeet. The second is Call of the Dragonfly, a 3D act/roleplaying game, and the third is Battle of the Planets
Genre: First/Third Person 3D Title. I'll be busy for a while, get back to you later.

Lampion 04-25-2001 05:30 PM

Great good news, Steel Shark! I think no one is bored because of you technical explanation Please, keep doing that!
It's really amazing to have an "Insider" of the game industry right here, telling us all the up-to-the-minute news we all are eager to know.
When E3 finally comes, this is the first place I'm going to lookt at to find the hottest news about the games we love.

Steel Shark 100 04-26-2001 06:45 AM

Ok some details on this killer game I mentioned a few hours ago. I cannot give the name out, somehow I have maintained my ethics and morals within this very hostile planet of ours.

3D act/adv/platformer/puzzle game, the best graphics and gameplay of all games I have ever experienced, bar none. MO will be there with it when all is said and done I'm sure, but it's good to have more than one incredible game coming.

Lighting, textures, sound, all perfect. The best way to describe it would be to say this game came from the future, from let's say 2006 on XBOX 2.

Until I get confirmation and more details at E3 I shall call this game (code-name.... "Heavens beast" ). The beta is about 8 hours worth of gameplay I have been told, I went through about 4 hours, alot of playtime for me, it's almost impossible to quit playing. I will give more input next time on more of the game. I finished one of 60 missions or sections, this game will last 150-200 hours. I wish it would last for 2000 hours, and if you would see it you would agree I am sure.

Basic explanation of the game, difficult because it is soooo deep, and I have just nicked the tip of the iceberg.

You ( the gameplayer ) are the chosen one. You find yourself in a cage dangling over a chasm of infinite depth. You are not alone.... your followers are with you, there are 24 of them. They are your supporters and do what you ask.

You must find out who you are, beyond being the so-called chosen one, what you must do, where you must go. It is all a mystery waiting to be un-locked.

The lands are infinite, you are in a place with no beginning or end. The game feels infinite, it is HUGE,and perfect looking. Such ambiance, depth, it is serious looking and more on the adult side, dark but with beauty at all viewpoints.

You can control all 25 characters, you instruct and they follow your orders, you can watch them or you can take control of any of the characters and do it yourself if you feel in the mood to do so.

All the characters have up to 20 various attributes, you must know which to use and when, not one character is alike, that's 500 different attributes, not one character has the same attributes. I told you it is deep, and i've just seen the smallest portion of the game.

Original characters in gameplay and look, like Oddworld in a way.Perfectly designed, top notch models. ( Did I mention the 12 transports available, Elum start getting excited ).

The game has stealth, action, puzzle, exploration to the max, roleplay elements. I would say that early on in the game the breakdown is something like this: 30%-action; 20%-stealth; 20%-puzzle; 20% exploration; and about 10 % roleplay elements within.

It's got deep thunderstorms, vast landscapes, coral reefs, swamps, major wind conditions that by the way you can feel the actual physics of. And that's just the first 2% of the game.

The characters can climb, swim, jump, fly,go into chameleon mode, various weapons of hand to hand combat to major blasting power, drills to dig with, grapple hooks, magic potions of at least 50 various connotations ( I am told ). I have seen about 25 unique abilities or powers/weapons, there are 500+ I am told, incredible. Oh yes and scouting abilities, lot'd of fun to go ahead and scout and figure out your best plan of attack or stealth options. And you must combine certain characters attributes to move forward. You have to see it to believe it.

OK this is the longest post of all time, I am sure. The game is supposed to be coming (3) weeks after the launch of XBOX, early December in the States.

The enemy creatures, oh those creatures.... 50 various creatures will populate the game, the most intense ones of all time I can say for sure already, I have seen just (4), but what a 4 they are.

I can go on forever, but I'll get some more news on it to anyone if intersted next time, thanks for letting me get my excitement out. Just toooo many great games coming, to choose your top ones is getting difficult. But MO now has company, trust me.

Steel Shark 100 04-26-2001 05:01 PM

You got to keep breathing Oddbodd, so you can play MO and this new hot game codenamed " Heavens beast". More on the beast of all games later.

I wanted to mention a few more interesting looking games coming to XBOX soon. One is called Shade- Monsters vrs Humans, a 3D act/adv that they say will be a hit, I have not seen it yet,but I'll get close and comfy with it at E3.

Enclave: is another, 1st/3rd person act game, I have been told it will be Halo like, but better, we shall see at E3.

The Thing, 3D act/Adv, based on the 82 movie with Kurt Russell. Sounds zesty.

And in case you have'nt heard Jurassic Park X, we shall see more about it later.

And don't forget Knights, Battle of the Planets, and call of the dragonfly, the games that were sent to me just yesterday. I still will be checking out later. I wish there was 2 or 3 of me, too many great games coming.

ODDBODD 04-27-2001 11:00 AM

ooh jurasic park x, sounds origanal

Steel Shark 100 04-28-2001 04:10 AM

Just checking in, been busy, I will now finish the beta of the game I code-named "Heavens Beast ". Tell you more if you're interested later.

Lampion: and others who are interested, there is a interview of Halo at IGN XBOX, mostly about Multi-player options and such.

Yea that's true Oddbodd, the name Jurrasic Park X really is'nt dripping with originality,we will still see what the game gives us however, you never know.

Will also check out Knights a 3D act/adv game for the BOX, wow is gaming really alive.

Steel Shark 100 04-28-2001 04:26 AM

Well before I get to playing the beta of Heavens beast I wanted to mention two more things I heard of earlier.

One is: Project K-X Gets Bruce Lee Name, the great looking fighter, will have more info of it at E3.

And Lucas Arts, will be announcing two top secret games as of now, on May 1st. I believe them to be XBOX exclusives. Phantom menace anyone. We already know of Obi wan coming to the BOX, Lucas arts are really big on Xbox at the moment. See ya later.

Cloverfield 04-28-2001 08:38 AM

That "Heavens Beast" game really sounds like something. As soon as you mentioned that the lands were infinite with no beginning or end... and then when I read on about exploration... you had me in!

If there is one thing I love about a game ... it's exploration!!! I am a sucker for exploring things in games... even if the game isn't meant to explore... I go everywhere I can!!! The more I can explore... the better in my opinion!!! :D

Mind you, the other parts of the game sound very exciting also.

If it's an Xbox title... it's certainly going to be a "must get" for me! I'll look forward to reading more about it once you have played some of the beta version!

Abe Babe...

ODDBODD 04-28-2001 09:00 AM

Cool SW on the box. Well SW never made any good games anyway. oh except for "jedi power battles"

Steel Shark 100 04-28-2001 05:16 PM

Abe Babe: I'll come up with more details later. You're a babe, a gamer, an exploring lover, sweet you are.

You got to be the best administrator in the world, that's for sure. Keep cool.

Elum 04-29-2001 12:46 AM

I'm sorry..I was reading all the posts, but couldn't find it - When is E3? I know its in May, but whats the date?

(I am thinking about opening Elumstable when E3 starts)

Mr.Y 04-29-2001 01:08 AM

AHHHHHH!!! How many times can I say it? Crash on multiple is OLD news, and thats by far at the least!! Does anyone even speak with SCEA or Konami before they go off stating "facts". SCEA has said point blank that they are planning to keep it a PS2 exclusive. They said that if in the future it does go to GC or X-Box, that it will be their own versions. I cannot say this anymore people.

And not to pick at SS100, but alot of this stuff you're posting has been known about a loooooong time. No offense, so please dont act like an ass when replying. :(

Steel Shark 100 04-29-2001 04:12 AM

Ok Mr.Y, fasten you're seatbelt. You don't want to believe in me, that's pretty sad, so have a seat, you may get dizzy with this news. This is going to hurt you a lot more than me, but I admit a real pleasure for me.

GameSpot can now confirm that Universal Interactive Studios is currently developing Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and the next-generation Spyro the Dragon game for the Nintendo GameCube. As reported previously, the upcoming games are also being developed for the Sony PlayStation 2, the Microsoft Xbox, and the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. I believe the XBOX version to be a different flavor however, we shall see. More options if you're into Crash, so try and be a little happy for once there dude.

And even if they are not the same game, it's better to have different versions on different systems. What's the big deal, I mean I'm not into linear on-tracks type of games anyways.

Now make like the invisible man and dissapear.

Steel Shark 100 04-29-2001 04:15 AM

Hi Elum: It is May 16th to 19th. The main show is the 17th to the 19th.

ODDBODD 04-29-2001 11:06 AM

SO STARK ANY NEWS ON STAR WARS ON XBOX?

:

STARK IS HERE GIVING US HEALTHY INFORMATION HERE. I THINK HE KNOWS A BIT ABOUT THE STUFF THAN YOU DO. ALL 50 OF HIS POSTS ARE LONGER THAN 5 LINES AND HAVE TRUTHFUL INFO.
***groan*** Not again...

Why on Earth should Steel Shark's opinions be any more valid because he has a connection with the gaming industry? His statements have just as much truth as Mr Y's; and unless you've forgotten, game developers often make late changes to 'facts' before their software is released.

Mr.Y 04-29-2001 05:59 PM

How come not a person here would say anything to a Mario fan if Mario were going multi-platformed? You don't understand. Crash is/was our mascot, so I have right to want it the same. I'm not a Mario fan, but I damn well know I'd be upset if he went off Nintendo. If Odd World went multi-platform half of you would whine your asses like a pacifier-seeking baby.

And SS, I think your info sucks. Yes, you've earned it. If you're gonna state facts, filter out the fiction please.

And ODDBODD, I never even talked to you so leave me the hell alone. I said his news was old and you call me a bitch. I suppose if I said anything in return it wasn't provoked by you. Go grow up, squirt.

Steel Shark 100 04-29-2001 06:10 PM

OK, I finished the beta of Heavens beast, it just got better if that's possible. I played about 4% of this magnificent game. It took about 8 hours. I do believe the game will be about 200+ hours of gaming bliss in total when final. This is one I will be proud to invest in. I am not half bad in gaming talent so I know that it may take 250+ hours for the casual gamer. The incredible thing is it's full on guality throughout.

Abe Babe just like you I love to explore, just love it, this game is all about exploration, among other things of course. Magic, action, stealth, unique creatures, major high level artificial intelligence, such a deep feel of surreal strange beauty. Vast city to jungle swamps to sea's with no end. It really feels like Oddworld in a way.

You use you're characters in every imaginable way possible, in combination or by themselves. All characters are used for various tasks, it' up to to on how. It's totally non-linear. For example you can go through a mountain or around it, or over it, or skip it entirely. I can still go back and search out 10-20 hours of terrain I by passed, who knows what else lurks around in those dark shadows.

Here's an example, you'll like this Abe babe. I decided to use 2 of the characters to scout, one is an expert scout with his own speacial abilities, the other is the main character, the one with the most versatility. I traveled on and on, in a complete opposite direction than the quest will have you go normally. Mind you this was just one of many directions possible. After traveling for 20 minutes I incountered 2 all new types of beasts that traveled in packs.Just put there for extra depth, . You could avoid them or attack them, or follow them to more isolated sections of this vast game. The terrain was always changing, the draw distance is spectacular.

You can see from one vista far to the other, great ambiance and done in such perfect detail. Now when I had to stop, it was because of an impassable area of quicksand. However I could have gone back to my followers and brought back the correct characters to help in crossing the quicksand area. And who knows what's on the other side? This game is beyond anything I can describe, it is soooo much more, you will play it someday and really feel it the way it should be felt.

It is deep and dark, however it has it 's lightness to it as well, a great contrast.

Well on my way back from the quicksand area I spotted something shining in a patch of tall grass about 200 feet away.I investigated it, it was a small amulet, just a portion of one. Where are the other pieces? It can be used for one of the characters that follow you.A power-up for one of it's abilities. Just laying there way of you're main path, incredible. You will need all the power you can get as the game goes along. This creates exploration to the max.You always wonder what's around every corner or every hill. Don't forget the game has plenty of action as well, tons of ways to fight with you're versatile characters, it's all up to you.Powers, magic, weapons, transports that will make Elum of our Forum here just drool. Just two sweet transports thus far, but over a dozen are promised.

Anyway's, I'll explore more in the coming days from time to time and fill you in later.

Oh yes and I wanted to mention the graphics again, you are playing a full on CG movie here, major poly count on all the characters/creatures. Wow this and MO along with a few other gems this Fall, unbelievable.

OK MR.Y, I believe everyone here knows where you're coming from, you seem to be a bitter antagonist, just do me a favor and keep you're sour attitude away from me, my life's to sweet to be soured by you're presence.

There is no fiction in you're beloved Crash jumping ship, it's a fact, face it, weather or not it will be the same version or all three different, Quite frankly my dear I dont give a damn. Don't take you're misery out on me. Good luck with Crash, "yesteryears hero", and get back to the other side of the tracks, this is my E3 topic,go to Crash forums or something. You are an obvious troublemaker.

I just wonder how sour you're attitude will be in the coming weeks with all the great XBOX and Gamecube games info coming.

There's nothing else to say, so let's leave it at that, everyone here knows where we both are coming from.

Hey come on now, lay off my friend Oddbodd, I know that he marches to the beat of another drummer, but he's cool, and those are the types believe it or not that stand out in the long run, he's positive and has a zest for life, so just ignore him ok Oddbodd, life's too good to bother with a sour apple.

I have just got some more info on another new XBOX title. It's called Hunter.

Developed at High Voltage using the AtlasTech Game Engine, Featuring a third-person perspective, Hunter features denizens of the night who are disguised as mortals and are co-existing with the human race. Gamers can see the true essence of these creatures and are compelled to slaughter them in order to save the world. Users will assume the role of one of four Hunter characters, each imbued with supernatural abilities that become more diverse and powerful throughout the game.

Throughout numerous gothic settings, including a prison execution chamber, a ghoulish burial ground, and a chilling train station, gamers will face down over 30 creature variants, from vampires to unstoppable legions of the undead. To aid in battle, Hunter features an arsenal of weapons including swords, shotguns and axes. Hunter also supports cooperative gaming for up to four people. In cooperative mode, gamers will be able to heal fellow Hunters.

More survival horror coming our way.

Another great piece of news is the game Saffire, one of the 10 big ones coming, will be coming to Gamecube. It will be coming to PSX2 as well. The Gamecube is extra nice because of the extra power it contains over PSX2. And now you can choose which version shines above the other, nice to have choices.

I have a meeting with Saffire developers at E3. It's one hot game, a large 3D act/adv that I have put on my most wanted list. Keep you're eye on it as well. It looks and plays great.

Why thank you for the compliments Steel Shark :o *blushes*

In return I must say it is certainly awesome and an honor to have someone involved in the gaming industry here to let us know about not only Oddworld and Xbox, but also other great games that are upcoming. I along with others here certainly appreciate the info you give.

Now... back onto Heaven's Beast... that description you gave seems totally amazing! That is me alright... explore for 20 minutes in the opposite direction than the games is meant to go. Although I'm sure I'd go back and cover the other 10-20 minutes worth! I'll go anywhere and everywhere. To find whatever I can.

Munch's Oddysee is certainly the game I am looking forward to on the Xbox... but I am going to make sure I don't miss this one either. And that is only the beta version you have played too.

Abe Babe...
