All I'm asking is am I naïve for thinking the relationship between the Oddworld cofounders was anything other than professional? Is it common knowledge that OWI was started as sort of a family venture? kjj seems to certainly think so, so this can't be too private.

Who are you talking about? If you're referring to me, I really didn't think the question was relevant, nor did it need expounding. Several others agreed. The fact that their relationship status has flourished happily under the radar of the common Odd Fan is proof of its irrelevance.

This. I think that one of the reasons why a bunch of the older members are reacting the way they are is because we didn't know for most of the last 20 years. Lorne and Sherry chose to be discreet about it, so we figure they must have had their reasons and we respect that.

Is it discretion though? It's not like their relationship (marriage?) is relevant to any interviews they have given, and there are old magazines that acknowledge it. I did not create this thread thinking I'd stumbled upon some dark secret. I thought Lorne and Sherry being nothing but business partners might have been a misconception I alone held.

I've never seen any old magazines mentioning it beyond the ambiguous term 'partner', which we always assumed meant business partners.

It's this kind of parochial thinking that fuels scandalous media like TMZ. Everyone has a right to privacy, regardless of your public life—especially if you employ an effort to segregate the two.

They really don't though, I never said I agree with it, but that's just how it is and it's a fact you have to accept or not gain any notoriety in the public eye or elsewhere.

Does this make sense in your mind because I'm not following your logic. I never even mentioned infractions or bans, and even if I had, so does everyone else, including all the mods, including you, so you're really just getting up my arse over nothing aren't you?

Logic is as follows:

1. STM crosses the line
2. I give him a warning
3. He reached out via PM, we discussed and everything is fine now
4. He even apologizes publicly
5. You come in, quote the fact I give him a warning (which is the same as mentioning it) and try to use my own words against me to question the warning I just gave.

You argument against Admin and Mods being allowed to announce bans is ridiculous and you know it.
