i am opposed to censorship in general, but i am a little uncertain when i think that if they censored child pornography from the internet, it would probably, if not die out, at least there would be less of it. so censorship can sometimes be good. but normally it is bad. oh, i don't know!

I hate censorship... but,like retick said there are some really perverted things. But pretty much,cencorship annoys me. Like when they censor books or free speach... and films... and more stuff... yep....and stuff... yeah. BOO! down with cencorship! *turns on a lighter*yeah!

the difficulty is telling the difference between good censorship and bad censorship. there will always be exceptions to every rule.

Good Censorship = Child porn, dead bodies on the net, recorded suicides, paediphilia and n e thing supporting it.
Bad Censorship = Porn...how dare u block porn...porn is my god..yeh and all the other stuff, but censoring porn is jus' sad unless its kiddie stuff...but teen stuff i dont mind that. Like 19 yr olds and stuff. I am gonna b a porno directer n e wayz. |

I agree that good censorship censors child and animal porn. Anything non-consensual is illegal in most places, including with animals.
Most of the people who are in charge of censorship are extreme right-wingers who would happily censor sexual related material before touching violence. Why? I think the BBFC are doing a very good job. Their only blooper, in my opinion, was giving Godzilla a PG instead of a 12.

i think that you should be able to see a movie of any rating if your parents take you (as long as they're old enough to see it)...
and it can't be any good having "middle age" people deciding what teenagers can and can't see...teenagers should be able to sit on the board and say if they're shocked or not... |
You can see a movie of any rating in Britain, as long as you are accompanied by a person who is above the minimum age rating.

Films shunt b rated 4 their content. They shud b rated on the ability 2 shock. If you r over 13 i think u can see n e film you want. I saw Hannibal and that was quite tame. I personally thort that, that shud b a 15 insted of a 18.

I am actually someone that has blocking software on my computer... and why... for a very good reason. I caught one of my brothers looking up porn sites... no big deal, he's well over the age to look at it... but THIS is why I have the software. I found some sites he had been to had tried to install porn links on my PC... and another tried to install what would have been a virus if it had not failed.
You see, I have blocking software to protect my computer from these "dodgy" porn sites that go and try to do things to your PC. I wouldn't mind if he just visited sites like Playboy and the like, but my brother doesn't know what to do with sites that can harm your PC. I'd be just as annoyed if he went to warez sites... simply because he doesn't know what he is doing. And I don't want to risk my computer at that. I'm not sticking up in defence of censorship and this kind of software (in fact I laugh sometimes at censorship... I'll comment on this soon), but I'm just saying that there are other reasons people use blocking software. I also have a firewall on my PC for the exact same reason... security and protection. As for censorship... isn't it strange how some stuff is censored and other isn't even worried about. Like you can watch a M15+ movie on cable here during the hours that kids watch TV... with sex scenes and swearing. But on the other hand the censors gave Final Fantasy VII a G rating... and the game has several adult references in it!!! OK... they are stupid examples, but they are funny. I think that they should really just censor the stuff that is bad... like the child porn and the sick stuff and all the gory disturbing stuff. But as for a few video games with some blood and gore and stuff like that... then really it should be up to the induvidual. My parents always let me watch M movies when I was a kid. Abe Babe... |

I wouldn't say either of the genders are smarter... there are some females smarter than males and some males smarter than females... i'd say we're equal. There are differences in the sexes though.

has anyone heard that TV watchdogs are going to get new powers because the "Paedofile" episode of "BrassEye" (a spoof current-affairs programme) got loads of complaints...
guess what channel 4 did about it...they repeated it on friday (bwahahahahaha)... who thought that episode was good? (i think it was one of their best...rude, crude and borderline shocking...) and who thinks they should continue to parodise the media? |
i missed Brass Eye, but i cannot see how it can possibly fail to be good, as all their others were excellent! :D ESPECIALLY considering the furore kicked up over it [i love controversiality!]! :D
