Introducing HansuOddie!
 

Sup Guys!

You guys can call me either Hansu or Oddie if you like. I've been a fan of Oddworld for quite some time now. I remember as a kid watching my brother play Abe's Oddysee (which we called 'APPE'), and it was many years later did I find out that it actually had a sequel and two other games. I never really played the original games, mostly because I enjoyed watching rather than playing. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty was actually the first Oddworld game that I actually finished playing, and I really enjoyed it.

I'm not that good with Oddworld creatures but I'm still practicing. I'm not sure how I attach a picture here, so can anyone help? Also how much smaller do I need to make it? (I wanna show my drawing)

Hi there! I can say from experience that Oddworld characters are very frustrating but very fun to draw. They're so ugly and unique and generally just fun to tinker with. We've got a Fan Art gallery so you can set up a thread there and get feedback.

Also, if you need reference material, this is a really good site.

To attach an image to a post, scroll down in the main post editor (not the quick reply) to the Additional Options section, and click on the Manage Attachments button.

But usually it’s less hassle just to upload to imgur or wherever and just embed it.

As you can clearly see, HansuOddie, some of us *are* horrendous :D

I agree there, muds are a pain. Them and steef. There's just no good real-life reference for those faces.

It's funny because a little while ago I got a NSFW request on Oddworld, but I had to decline because Oddworld is one of those franchises that I JUST CAN'T make NSFW on.

OLD PEOPLE AND BOVINE

Okay old people would actually be a good ref for mudokons (and vykkers, come to think of it), but I'd disagree on steef looking like bovines. Wrong nose shape. If anything, steef have faces more like an angry rabbit with a smushed-in muzzle and some goat mixed in.

I could teach you how to draw if my thread was still there...

Steef are kind of weird because their head this mash-up of dogs, rabbits, and bovine, but the point is there's totally refs out there
